I guess every composer has one or two works in his lifetime that no matter how old it becomes, whenever it's done right, it still brings tears to his eyes. This one is that one for me for obvious reasons. Although I am grateful that it was covered and sung by so many excellent singers over the years, I am glad this year, it fell into the hands of our·神奇小女侠 whom I worked with diligently for a few months last year on <Infinite & Beyond>, because I had believed in her the minute she opened her month on stage to sing on the first day of rehearsals. Back to this song, which I called, <Now & Forever>, it was written for Leslie long before Gigi was born, but her honest, beautifully simple approach still emotinally moves the wheel of time as if she knew it all along. I'm sure the performance would have pleased Leslie, who has also been my butterfly for close to 20 years now, looking after me like he does with each of his friends, making me happy to score my second top 10 song this year!
