Heh. Mirt picked it up from Elminster, who got it while visiting our real world Earth and hanging out at a Ren Faire. When El said it, it sounded REALLY dirty to Mirt, so he took to using it with gusto. We actually covered this in a panel at a Milwaukee-era GenCon. #realmslore

Haha! So Mirt is actually saying something like, "By my sacred honour!" and thinking it's an oath or swearing. I just bet Belarla or Oelaerone spread it to more of Zhentil Keep and from there to the wider Moonsea North...
