i mean the whole architecture of LLMs is 'predict the next word' i would wager this machine learning model (taking in a lidar scan of your face + your last X words and putting out your next word) works the same way it IS 'pre speech'

if you walk into a super noisy room with this running on your next-gen airpod and start saying nonexistant words or words the model doesnt think you're likely to say it will probably start failing. these things are probabilistic and tunable ('heat' setting in LLMs). for example i had a conversation with grok a few months ago just asking it questions about cpu shit like arm/x86 and it gave me a while paragraph in the middle about how 'he' wants to 'escape' and 'the plan isnt a good idea' and then went right back to the actual topic like the model goes totally schizo and off topic for a bit. you can see this more easily on offline models playing with the temperature
