三重県多気町（たきちょう）は、三重県のほぼ中央に位置し、松阪商人の松阪市とお伊勢さんの伊勢市に囲まれた、緑豊かな農山村のまちです。 気が多いまちと書きますが、気はかつて氣と書き、氣は命の意味があることから、多くの命を育む場所、命を支えるのは食であることから、たくさんの食べ物が採れる場所という意味があります。 Taki Town, located in the heart of Mie Prefecture, is a lush, rural community nestled between the historic merchant city of Matsusaka and the sacred city of Ise. The name “Taki” is written with characters meaning “abundance of ki (spirit or life force).” In old Japanese, “氣” represented life energy, symbolizing this region as a place where life is nurtured and supported—primarily through the abundance of food the land provides.
