I don't even mind the modernization of the story if it stays somewhat faithful to the book (which it clearly isn't) but that shitty AI-esque Indian animation is unwatchable. Another great IP destroyed, the gall to sarcastically call the book a "masterpiece" to further shit on the grave of one of the most iconic writers of the 1900s is something someone only as despicable as a Jew would do.
 
There are millions of things I hate about this, but the main thing is that they make humans so prominent in the trailer. The original book had a point to reduce the appearance of humans to a minimum so that Napoleon's villainy is driven without the corruption of the farmers. Making Napoleon manipulated by humans diminishes his agency in the story, and fundamentally changes the story since the main antagonist is no longer Napoleon, and that consequently changes what the central cause of the conflict is.

I thought this was a joke. Like, it’s so “on the nose” that there’s just no way this is real. I refuse to accept that as reality. I fucking hate communists and leftism in general, but this? This is beyond anything I could have imagined decades ago when I read this book in school, as a young lad

Lets have the music be that God awful “rebel just for kicks” slop that was played ad nauseum for YEARS. Is this how Star Wars and Star Trek fans felt when their shit was rebooted? Or any other IPs or stories have been raped over the last decades? I’ve always kind of been an autist who didn’t really like fictional stuff like fantasy, capeshit or Sci-fi but who loved fiction based on real stories, you know shit like Animal Farm. I loved it because it was so simple and showed in very plain terms in a dot to dot manner how collectivism in farming failed the very people it was meant to help and how the higher brass slowly morphed back into what the old system was. GOOD, SIMPLE, EFFECTIVE. AND THERE ALREADY WAS A FUCKING ANIMATION FROM THE 50s AND THAT WAS FUNDED BY THE CIA, THAT WAS STILL MORE FAITHFUL

One that was more faithful in keeping to its setting. You know staying on the farm instead of a fucking stadium. One that showed common needs and luxuries being coveted and hoarded as a way of being more relatable to the common man instead of comedic sports car gag. One that showed the grueling reality of work and wasn’t afraid to show the dangers of overworking people and how it has deadly, real and horrific consequences. What a crock of shit. Also there needs to be a “new villain” or “real villain” that corrupts the pigs because I guess the idea of internal greed or evil is too much for whatever smug, self righteous, hack, cum drunk, fraudulent, retard who wrote this shit. Lord knows self reflection is too much for our fragile egos.


Combine the pathological incapability of sincerity, with endless unfunny,trite,abortions of comedy, plastered with the name “Animal Farm” and you torpedo its relevance because it's now “Le Funny Pig Seth Rogan”. I mean that was probably the point but Goddamn. I am mad at the internet
 
In the correct time-line the commies in Hollywood would be working in coal-mines or getting sodomized by browns after we deported them to third world shitholes.

Honestly I actually kinda grew up listening to Portugal the man (my sister introduced me to them when I was like 10) and they fucking sold out so hard. The fact that people argue with me about this is just further proof of how much they suck now imo.

It's upsetting because they definitely did have a distinct sound that's been soo lost and perverted.

Their first 8 releases are goated.

Plot twist: The new Animal Farm is a critique shitting on socialists like Bernie Sanders and Black Lives Matter who promise their followers free shit only to selfishly enrich themselves when they're given money and power.
