The multifaceted approach to magics reminds me of quantum field theory, with the Weave as just one of the quantum fields, and most spell effects as particular excited states of that field. Yet, with other overlapping fields (and interactions between them) at play too...

I definitely consider physical attacks to be a type of magic that uses the weave. The components are always somatic and material, and the spell effects are very predictable
