AlaskanReality fell into the MFD fold sometime in 2023. As an active duty member of the US Army with an impressive military career working in intelligence, and a history of exposing Roblox predators on YouTube, it was only a matter of time until our friend groups intersected. He had a wife and several kids, was an avid role model for young people in the Roblox Military community, regularly volunteered at soup kitchens, and managed a Roblox group with tens of thousands of members. He was trusted with an associate rank in Moderation For Dummies and helped countless users resolve safety issues, regularly participated in work nights, and was one of the most active and dedicated volunteers in my server.
When I learned he had an alt account that he used to sexually communicate with underage girls, I nearly vomited.
I gathered the other members of MFD to break the news and we came up with a plan to confront him. We had overwhelming proof that the alt account was his, and decided to base our interrogation strategy on how honest he was willing to be about it. We invited him to a new group chat under the guise of a work night, and slowly started to press him on the account. He denied it was his. 1ik and I continued to gradually increase pressure and we could hear him getting more and more uncomfortable, until he suddenly said "Wait, I'll be right back" and left without returning.
We immediately removed him from every server we could, and within a few hours he deleted his Twitter, Roblox, and YouTube channel. Apparently during this time his wife tried to call me from his account, but I have notifications off and missed her call. 1ik contacted a relative of his, who replied with Alecs' explanation: This is all a complex disinfo campaign from another YouTuber he exposed. At face value this would be convincing. Alecs had a history of dealing with predators who retaliated against him by faking messages, many of whom were caught red handed. The actions of these predators made it extremely difficult to confirm the validity of the evidence against Alecs.
However, I know this isn't the case for two reasons. First, the Discord alt is definitely his. I have screen recordings showing it sent voice messages to a girl he was speaking with. It was his voice, and it was even responding to other messages in the conversation. I also have an in-game Roblox recording from a 17 year old of Alecs apologizing for sexting her when she was 12 and he was 20. He tells her in this recording to add his Discord alt, and gives the username of the account. This, paired with the fact that he lied about owning this account to his friends and the entire MFD team is an indicator of the shame he feels over it. I expected more honesty from a uniformed soldier in the US Army.
Instead of pretending none of this ever happened, as other YouTubers and children's gaming companies might, I've decided to provide you all with this explanation because the public has a right to know when someone with a position of extreme trust turns out to be a monster. Alecs was the last person on this Earth I expected to do something like this. There was absolutely nothing to indicate he was a predator up until yesterday. As I said, he has an impressive military career working in intelligence. The Army did extensive background checks, polygraphs, lie detector tests, etc and even they didn't find discrepancies. I imagine they will now. My only hope is that any other predators wishing to work with me will see this and understand that if they get close to me, I have no problem with airing them out. As Alecs stated in one of his (now deleted) videos, "Yeah fun fact about Ruben Sim: the closer you are to him the more we look into your history."
Alecs' stupidity can't be understated. After seeing the proof against him it blows my mind how he got a job in intelligence. While working directly with a team of safety experts with years of experience dealing with predators and groomers, Alecs was sending nudes to a 15 year old as recently as this month. Many of the exposé documents being published about him fail to grasp the severity of the situation. Make no mistake, Alecs is a full blown child predator.
With all of this, I'd like to request that everyone please be respectful to Alecs' family. I met his wife and kids in real life and they're wonderful people. They don't deserve to be harassed or swatted and I can guaratee everyone if they were aware of Alecs' secret life they would've fled a long time ago. His military career is now in jeopardy. Conduct Unbecoming is grounds for a dishonorable discharge and he'll likely lose his pension and have difficulty finding a new job. There's no reason for his wife and kids to have to suffer even further.
Lastly, although he manually closed his Roblox account, he can still reopen it. I'd like to request any Roblox staff reading this to fully terminate his account. Nearly all of the children he contacted on his alt were given the username through Roblox. His username is AlaskanReality.
I hope everyone can understand how unavoidable this was, and I'm not faulted for trusting someone as credentialed as him. I know my detractors are going to celebrate one of my close friends being outed a predator, but I'd like them to consider the fact that there's many people in all of our lives who are far less impressive than Alecs, perceivably far more capable of doing something horrible. Consider times when your close friends or family members have made questionable comments or inappropriate gestures, and consider that Alecs never did anything like that where we could see it.
If you ever find someone close to me or MFD who you believe is a predator, privately message associates in our server and they'll promptly bring it to me first and foremost, as they did in this case. We've never covered for predators and we never will, and we hope other organizations can follow our example.
