This is a megathread for ranting, raging or venting about anything and everything Helldivers related. Whether it’s about a mission you just played, a recent patch, the community, etc.
This megathread isn’t designed to censor you, we are doing this because the subreddit is becoming overwhelmingly flooded with rants (as we’re sure you’re aware). We strongly encourage you to use this Megathread as opposed to creating your own post. If you decide that what you have to say requires a new post, you should know that we will be actively moderating and critically assessing the quality of those posts to lessen the amount of low-effort content on this subreddit.
Please keep the comments related to HELLDIVERS and most importantly, keep it civil. Follow the sub’s rules!

This bullshit with AH fucking us over thanks to one stupid piece of shit using an exploit has killed what little enjoyment i still got from this game

What fucking moron allowed the Vox Engine torso to clip into their own fucking vent?
Trying to throw a grenade into it just makes it bounce back if it's aiming at you, which of course it fucking will be if you're damaging it.
Somebody needs to FIX THESE FUCKING SERVERS
Losing the MO to AH shutting it down for a few hours on the weekend, resetting it, then putting it back 3x harder soured me on the whole event.
We've already lost the entire event because of a bunch of fucking cheaters.
Even more annoying is all the fucking people ignoring this fact by yelling that they're handholding us after we got a reinforcement opportunity afterwards which honest didn't do much to help.
Hope they're happy now because they've decided not to help us anymore. Now we have to take Cyberstan with only 3 days worth of reinforcements
Chances are they'll run out by the end of tonight and we won't have even made it to their capital city

So first we get our progress reset cause of hacks , then you change the MO parameters essentially putting us in a hole , then after all that you just go welp you guys failed lol you have 5 days to win to the war oh but only have 3days worth of reserves and we’re not giving you any more. Punishing everyone for the actions of one hacker was fuckin stupid and now we most likely won't be able to take Cyberstan because of it
I feel like we have regressed back to what it was like in 2024 with cyberstaan: most weapons that don't even scratch new enemies, over aggressive enemies, way too high spawn rates for elite units, bugs out the ass for example over bouncing stratagems, enemies phasing through solid objects, random deaths, etc. Generally alot of missions atm are just complete the main objective then fight 5 vox on extract and die rinse and repeat. It's not fun or interesting, it's boring and repeatative. I know I could go to another planet or fight different enemies but I expected more from cyberstan this was a big update and I'm just not feeling it. This doesn't even feel like some massive battle where where the fighting is brutal or the casulties are high it just feels like nothing. People compare this to a famous battle in history and honestly I don't think it compares to any of them because it doesn't feel like a battle while super earth, oshaune and some others did. Anyways after about week of play I think I'm burnt out and had enough of helldivers 2 for a while. Good luck to those who are still hoping we will win on cyberstan.

It's like we're constantly on the back foot. I get that it's an invasion and we shouldn't necessarily have an advantage in some way, but this shit is ridiculous.
I've dropped down to 7s to "chill," except there is no chill. In fact, in many ways it's worse. There are fewer Vox, but the ones that are there are backed up by units that appear out of fucking nowhere directly behind you.
l just don't get what Arrowhead is trying to do here. Are we supposed to feel like shit on every drop?
what the hell is going on with star kield? why are there only war strider seeds? i've been diving this megafactory exclusively for the past 2 days and i haven't gotten a single tank seed
I can't believe they've never buffed the OPS to relevance.
There was a fairly useless buff right after the enemy armor rework about a year and a half ago, but that only buffed the direct damage and left explosive damage untouched. So if the projectile hits something dead-on it stands a chance, but otherwise it's a joke.
OPS used to feel great, but after those changes it's been a major disappointment and I've been unable to justify bringing it. I miss the old OPS.
Vox Engines, random one-shot explosions, and PC crashing returns aside....is it just me or Cyberstan is VERY lacking in Samples and/or SCs? Not even to farm but just to casually pick up when doing missions, they're just nowhere to be found.
I've discovered that the random one-shots are one of three things: pinpoint accurate Vox focus fire, Bot Trooper shoulder cannons, or Bot defense turrets way out on the city horizon that blend in so well with everything else you can't even see them, nevermind anticipate their existence when rounding a corner after being chased by a thousand Cyborgs.
There is no SC on Cyberstan. This has been a massive loss in terms of earnings for me. My time would've been better spent grinding 1s, as usual.
Kill two vox engines then two more instantly spawn in. The spawn rate for them is legitimately so fucking dumb
Not to mention the amount of sudden death for no fucking reason with heavy armour.
They fucking suck. Tried a set of level 10s with friends who play all the time, and there’s like 6 of the least fun enemies (war striders) all at once. And then add 3 Vox engines on top of it.
Like what are we supposed to do?
Is the Incineration Corps on all of Cyberstan? I can’t tell because the indicator is nowhere to be found. Sometimes they’re there when I’m on the ground, sometimes not. But I never know beforehand so I can take the fire resistant armor just in case. So as a result I’m constantly getting oneshot by the flame shotgun heavy devastators.
IC is only on a single megacity in Cyberstan. They're located on the tier 3 megafactory of Ursoot Nine.
I am among those who don't consider playing below HD10 a possibility, just to get that out of the way. And no I don't care what your arguments are for lowering the difficulty. My pride won't allow it. Now for the actual post.
I hated fighting the Bots until recently. I spend some time playing them, getting used to them, figuring out what strategies work for me, I learned to not hate them as much. Now after this latest update, the invasion of Cyberstan, I hate them all over again.
I'm naturally a high stress person. Gaming is my stress relief. Fighting the bots causes me stress rather than relieving it. Even on mission when I do good I find myself more stressed afterwards than I was before.
Bugs swarm, mostly from one and sometimes two directions. Have enough firepower and you can relax a bit. It's not easy due to the number of enemies, but it takes less strategy. If you're over whelmed, torch the ground and run. Squids are rather similar.
Bots are not. Bullets and Rockets don't really care about flaming ground, They can catch you far easier than a hunter, and now with those Bastards with the Flying Knees mean you can't even maintain cover and pick Bots off from afar. Two heavy units with mortar's, and everything that ragdolls you seems to throw you around even through cover. Not to mention the one shot kills.
I don't think they're badly designed and I understand why people like fighting them. It's just, with my already high stress level, the Bots turn a healthy, fun, level of stress into an anxiety inducing, rage fest, nightmare. I can't do it. I'm out until the Major Order Changes. Ya'll can keep your José Aldo Cyborgs and Rocket Dodge Simulator.
I mean... so don't? Nobody's forcing you and you don't need to explain yourself to anybody. There's nothing wrong with not liking them, especially if it's a health issue, also speaking as someone who doesn't deal with stress well anymore, myself.
That being said D10 Bots are MY stress relief usually, but Cyberstan is different. D7 is just as challenging as a standard Bot D10 usually is, so I recommend hitting those instead if you feel that you're somehow "missing out" or worse, other difficulties don't seem "good enough" to you because you don't feel like you're putting in your total performance because some number next to a Difficulty indicator is "less than" what you believe you're actually capable of. I get it. It's why I only dive 10s most of the time.
Believe me. Cyberstan 7, 8 and 9 are no fucking joke. On top of that, a lot of fellow high levels are mixed in with low levels at those difficulties, so our real ability comes from getting those Divers through Cyberstan along with maintaining our usual efficiency.
Play what you want, man. It's just a video game.
90% of it was me ranting. The other 10% was realizing something about myself. I love the game, even the parts that frustrate me. I've logged almost 900 hours in it with almost 600 in mission hours. I can handle the bots, just not when I'm already stressed. I have to accept that. I wish the secondary orders would feature the other factions so I wouldn't feel like I'm wasting effort by not contributing to the major order.
I just need to figure out a loadout that works for me. I know the Guard Dog helps keep me from getting John Cena'd into the floor. May have to use the Ballistic Shield for extra protection and the Cross Bow. Maybe double up on the 380 and Napalm Barrage to clear space...
why is there no progress being made all night long in the cities on cyberstan?
CANT THEY RELEASE A MAJOR UPDATE THAT DOESNT FUCK OVER MY PC? IM MALDING BECAUSE EVERY TIME THERES SOMETHING AMAZINGLY DEMOCRATIC GOING ON I CANT JOIN IN BECAUSE MY FUCKING GAME CRASHES ON HELLPOD LAUNCH, LIKE OH YEAH I DONT WANT TO KILL CYBORGS ON CYBERSTAN. I FUCKING HATE GETTING SOFTLOCKED ON NEW FUCKING CONTENT
I'm tired of the constant stratagem bouncing and rolling. Sometimes, I throw down a Commando, and I literally don't know where it went. JUST MAKE IT LAND WHERE I THREW IT.
Fuck this game it pit my PC into a boot loop and now it has to get fixed. Waste of money even though it was fun, but not breaking $4000 worth of stuff fun.
I know it might be too late now, but if you’re on Windows 11, that might actually have something to do with the latest Windows 11 update. It has reportedly been causing critical issues for some users, up to and including boot loops. Try rolling back the update if you can and see if that fixes anything
I don't get the new enemies for the Automatons.
The Shotgun shooter cyborg is fine because it has a weakspot, but the Bucket Head is a bullet sponge, it feels like his helmet takes 3 shots to come off, it's just a regular dude with a bucket, just make him take 2 shots and that's it what the fuck is the problem ? I'm not even mentionning body shots because we're in bullet sponge city taking the bullet sponge subway on our way to bullet sponge theater to watch bullet sponge ballet starring Mr. Bullet Sponge himself. Bullet Sponge.
I don't get why shooting ALL THE 7 VENTS on Vox engines doesn't instantly kill it. Even half of that should kill it, otherwise why pretend it has vents ? "Oh I'm sorry Vox Engine I shot your engine, secondary engine, laser cooler and your tea boiler is broken but you're still not dead ?" Go fuck yourself already I'm tired of bullet sponges, that's why I don't play with the crabs. And then you go online and find out you should kill it by shooting the tracks apparently, what the fuck is that shit for real ? Ah, that's right, more Bullet fucking Sponge.
I feel like the War Striders are fine, you shoot their arms off and they become toothless. Don't get the hate, just shoot the arms off and they're useless, the grenades do nothing. If anything they might TK some robots
Automatons enemies should be like the Tanks or the Big Tasty or the Centurions, shoot a weakspot (no matter how hard it is) and the enemy dies. Fuck bullet sponges, they belong in the crab land.

The war striders are simply unfun at high difficulties.
An enemy with no real weak spot and no way to deal with them if you don't have a stratagem or specific warbond weapons makes it basically impossible to deal with objectives without an entire team that brings coordinated stratagems. They also deal stupid amounts of damage in groups that even kill the TANK in under 20 seconds if there is like 4 of them.
it's just unfun and more importantly design that goes against how the main-line automaton units are designed. They all have a light or medium pen weak spot of some kind, but I guess the war striders are made out of the same material as Pelican-1. They are imposing and cool looking, they are just badly made enemies tbh.
a teammate made me go back to civil life because he disconnected me because i was trying to extract when there were 5 minutes left on the clock,he sayed that there was still time,BUDDY,THERE WAS NO TIME.
