Ann Tsurtsumia-Zurabashvili’s Post

After a turbulent start to 2025, I’m humbled to share a new chapter. With the shock termination of the USAID Civil Society Engagement Program, the rollback of democratic space in Georgia, and the erasure of work I’ve dedicated the past 20 years to, the beginning of this year brought an abrupt and painful reckoning. In the face of such deep loss—personal, professional, and democratic—I found myself needing not just a new direction, but a renewed sense of purpose. I am profoundly grateful to the e-Governance Academy(eGA) team for offering both. Joining eGA has been a breath of fresh air: a space for rebuilding, contributing, and continuing the mission of open, inclusive digital transformation. And to Estonia—thank you for once again becoming a home. Your resilience, innovation, and sense of community are an inspiration. This transition is not just about a job change—it's about staying committed to the values of transparency, participation, EUROPE and freedom, even when the path forward is uncertain. Here's to building anew, with courage and community. P.S. I can never be grateful enough to Kristi Kivilo, the kindest heart whose example, mentoring, and courage have been a guiding light in this transition. #eGovernance #EGOV2025 #eGA
