1994's Volo's Guide to the Sword Coast would add lore and art. For example, the tokens that granted access to the inner rooms.

Some additions to the lore now with this new book out... Miirym the Sentinel Wyrm, who dates back to 2e, Dragon Mag 247, is now... well..... nah NOT GONNA SPOIL.

It also adds a new bit of lore... The Echoes of Alaundo... magical gems with actual voice recordings of Alaundo reading some of his prophecies.

Alaundo is a fantastic bit of plot device you can add to your campaigns, as he basically can help DMs be a foreshadower of what's to come for the PC's in your campaign.
Old lore even had a way for you to contact him, via his skull. Great quest to go on.

Candlekeep's been remodeled! All that gold earned scribing and shit, they did a whole remodel. The Guild of Handymen in Waterdeep was pleased.

(I'm not just being flippant. There are centuries of lore in the place. I could only share a glimpse in THE HERALD, and a little more in the Candlekeep Companion. So there's plenty to look forward to in the forthcoming...

My pleasure, sir! Lore-poke me any time; this trip down memory lane was FUN.
Brought back the memory of my Dad reading the first sex scene in a Realms short story (I was 8 at the time, I think). He remained absolutely expressionless, but his eyebrows rose in unison. HIGH.
