CELEBRATING WOMEN IN MY HISTORY
This year as I move into another chapter I am celebrating women who helped me in my journey today I celebrate and honor
ANNIE MAE JACKSON
Ms.Jackson if you please is a103 years young and to day I celebrate and honor her as a woman and elder in my history.
I have always felt welcome at her home. She is my former husband's great aunt by blood but mine in spirit and love.
Though I am no longer married to her great nephew she has still made me feel like part of the family. When I call or visit she is always glad to see or hear from me. When you sit and listen to her stories you will hear wisdom.
She is mentally sharp as a tack at 103, in fact I believe her mobility is better than mine. Her memory is on point she can recount the last conversation you had with her, whenever you return to visit her.
She was supportive of me as I went through the trauma of divorce ,she encouraged me that I would be okay and I was able to be honest with her without any judgment.
Today,I salute, celebrate and honor the Elder and Auntie of the Green family :
Ms Annie Mae Jackson of Hot Springs, Arkansas by way of Plain Dealing ,Louisiana
