it had basically nothing to do with the mouse, it was some 'odist offshoot telegram with like 8 pedos in it sharing furry porn, which was notable because the images posted in it would suspiciously be posted on the sharty at the same time. the owner would regularly post shit on xitter like "lets raid the sharty with DNB" and brag about shit like sending 'p to people, extorting kids, and would retweet literal zoosadist material, all of this going back a literal year. one of xis posts was a sharty screenshot that outright showed the (you)s. this became a controversy because it was evident that pedophile 'cord niggers were still operating here, and were directly linked to shit like furfag bait, gore spam, and derailment of raids.
IRC niggers saw the /q/ thread on this, and the 'gram ended up being dubbed "mousegram" because one of the niggers in it posted the mouse like once. after this became the accepted name for it, IRC niggers proceeded to spam the 'log with the mouse along with "MOUSEGRAM WON", which made people leak because "mousegram" was the name that was being used to refer to the 'odist 'gram, and thus they were basically giving praise to the same 'cord niggers that were openly spamming 'p on xitter and conducting gayops on this site. the leakage was over the implications of niggers outright identifying themselves with what was an 'odist subgroup, not over the mouse or whatever. and people were especially upset that quotecord were allowing it to happen.
over time the waters ended up being muddied to where the primary narrative became "le HTSM nusoiz are leaking over the mouse and calling everything 'cord it's just heckin' bait ignore it", and some particularly retarded soyteens took this seriously and started leaking specifically over the mouse, further giving it credibility. by the end of that soysurgency, nobody even remembered the pedogram that incited it, and then quotecord blamed some literal who namefags for all of it and said the "entire thing" (referring only to the spam, which was snca) was just one guy, while completely ignoring the actual 'gram leaks that the leakage was originally about and almost certainly letting the original 'gram pedos still post here afterwards.
essentially IRC niggers + quote's jannies successfully helped to cover up a soycord grooming scandal by turning "mousegram" into a meme because they thought it was funny that said 'cord pedos gooned to some of the same furry porn they did.
