Every so often, I see a post or video about how extremely safe nuclear waste storage is. I guess that's true *as long as operators follow the rules*. OTOH there have been dozens (hundreds?) of incidents where they didn't. So how safe is nuclear power *really*, in the real world of real humans?

Everything about human history in the last 150 yrs has to do with decisions causing toxicity to ppl under the false notion we must have whatever products are made. Nuclear waste, pesticides, plastics on a grotesque scale, industrial waste, etc, are secondary concerns for the dummies in charge.

I went to the original research this webpage gives as it's source for how dangerous living near a power station is [llrc dot org], It's a Russian online gambling site. Nuclear is the 2nd safest and 2nd cleanest source of power and no serious study has ever disproven this.

One thing you can always count on regarding safety regulations. If a human can figure out a way to go around those regulations to make a few extra bucks, even if it kills people or gives them cancer, it’s a guarantee they’ll do it every time.
