    大筋は昔のハリウッド映画「スピード」を彷彿とさせるものだが、その内容は
    現代社会が直面しているAIをはじめとするテクノロジーの進歩と倫理、あるいは
    科学と宗教、確率論と運命など何層ものレイヤーが織りなす問題や課題を無理なく
    炙り出していて見事だった。

    主要登場人物のキャラを形成しているそれまでの背景も丁寧に描かれており、
    SFというよりもはや現実社会そのもののように思える。
    サスペンス要素やヒューマンドラマ的要素も散りばめられエンタメ性も高く
    先が気になってしまい一気読み必至。

    絶対映画化されそうだし、したほうがいいw

    東京都知事選で好感を持った安野さんの小説『サーキット・スイッチャー』。
    仕事がシステム開発業界で、サスペンス小説好きで、安野さん好きの僕にはトリプルで面白かったです。

    本書は、近未来SF小説、サスペンス・ミステリー小説、AIのビジネス・哲学書の色々な側面があるけど、AIビジネスや自動運転の技術的・倫理的な問題・課題をエンターテインメントとしてまとめあげていてスゴイ。作家さんとしての才能もあるなんて多才すぎる。

    本書を読んだ後、ブラックボックスで中身が見えないAIの問題・課題をちょっと考えてみました（AIに限らないものになってしまいましたが）。
    ・開発者がいくら完璧かつ公平に作り上げても、別の第三者の修正により開発者が意図していない動きになったり、公平性がなくなる可能性がある。アルゴリズム開発者だけではなくサービス提供者全体の技術、倫理を高めていく。
    ・ヒトや社会が選んで受け入れた製品/アルゴリズムが正解になってしまう。弱者が不利になる可能性がある。提供者だけでなく選ぶ側の技術、論理を高めていく。
    ・サービス提供者が経済的合理性を優先すると、社会倫理から外れる可能性がある。一方からは社会倫理が外れてるように見えても、違う視点からだと正解になる場合がある。アルゴリズムが選択・決定するための優先順位を提供者・受益者で議論して更新していく。

    本書を読んで、考えたり議論したりするのはAI倫理の教育にも良さそうです。

    * 疾走感とサスペンス: 首都高を舞台にした自動運転車の占拠事件という設定が非常にスリリングで、ページをめくる手が止まりませんでした。犯人の目的や主人公の葛藤など、謎が謎を呼ぶ展開で、終始ハラハラドキドキさせられます。
