Here's the thing: for a superior rug, warm and soft underfoot (yet wears like iron), you need the underbelly fur. Soft as chinchilla, but white to sand-beige in hue (under the darker belly fur the eye first sees). No owlbear is donating that when alive. #Realmslore

Raised? No, they live in my woods and just tear open my barn freezers when they run low. I don't bother with barn or freezer doors anymore, now that they've learned to put those lids back on when raiding's done. Now, if I could just convince them to treat house mice as dessert...
