You're best protected while disconnected from the Internet.

Every time we take away more options from you and kill your freedom by a thousand cuts, we tell you it is for your protection. We have done so ever since we disabled normal MicroSD card write access in Android 4.4 with no menu option to let you decide if you even want this patronization "protection", eliminating one of Android's biggest selling points.

Starting in September 2029, Android will disable access to the Internet by default. To connect to the Internet, you will have to dox yourself provide real-life identification and your home address to us, and you only get to connect to domains approved by us.

Of course, requesting a domain approval requires doxing yourself identity verification too! What else did you expect?
