Now before I start, I must make this very clear. That this CANNOT apply well to the average normie anime fan, rather this applies to the average anime fan who is an imageboard user or who is in a community that may not be considered mainstream or be well-known. Which is the type of people whom I will be talking about in this thread and believe to be cattle.
<REDDIT SPACEALONG WITH THAT, not all modern Japanese media can be considered slop. You may or may not consider the majority to be slop, but you must admit, some of it can be good.

I believe anime or modern Japanese media is a particular form of a disease type which has negatively affected many people dearly.
<REDDIT SPACEThis disease type is basically numbing the cattle to have a distorted view of the environment they live in, so they cannot understand the reality around them and see the horrors happening right in front of them.
