every couple of weeks someone creates a new discord server that makes people spam their profiles on this thread, do they even get invited? wouldn't it be more convenient if they just posted the link to the server instead of adding each person??

The main reason is that the artists, or some of their followers, may be infiltrated in these types of forums and could easily take down the server without problems if they were to directly share the link.
