THE GAME WORLD
The courses on which Mario's adventure take place are filled with traps, tricks and enemies. Be sure to make good use of the items you find as you make your way to the Goal Pole!

PRONGOS
Prongos have a spike growing out of their head, so don't jump on them whatever you do! You'll just have to find other ways of dealing with them...

BOOMERANG FLOWERS
Grab one of these to turn Mario into Boomerang Mario!

BOOMERANG BROS
As their name suggests, these enemies use boomerangs to attack Mario. Remember that thrown boomerangs always come back, so don't think you're safe because you dodged it the first time!

SUPER LEAVES
Grab one of these to turn Mario into Tanooki Mario!

NOTE BLOCKS
Bouncing on these blocks will allow Mario to jump higher and higher. Bouncing on a rainbow-coloured Note Block will take Mario high into the clouds, where there are countless coins to be picked up!

These Goombas have grown tails and can use them to attack Mario.

PIRANHA PLANTS
Vicious vegetation that grows throughout the Mushroom Kingdom. Mind you don't get bitten!
