Growing Out Grace
Six months into growing out my natural hair color, and I’m only halfway there. It hasn’t been easy. I’ve had to let go of the “perfect” hairstyle, and there have been plenty of times I wanted to dye it again for the sake of comfort. But I’ve chosen to stick with it, trusting the process and believing the final result will be worth it.
In many ways, this mirrors my faith journey. The past year has been a season of surrender—laying everything before God and trusting His timing. Just like with my hair, I couldn’t keep going back to old habits or shortcuts.
Faith demands commitment and trust. You can’t worry and trust at the same time—you have to make a choice. You can’t serve two masters.
It’s not always easy, and it’s definitely not always pretty. But in the end, it’s worth it.
