Hi, Significa
[edit]Thanks for reaching out. Replying here, as this Talk page is the more stable. (As we travel, and computing circumstances change, the IP address from which we edit changes. The new temp account system—we cannot say how it and the Talk pages it generates might be impacted, but we would guess they will change as our location and our IP address changes, and so here is the safer place to reply.)
Before answering your questions, beyond the thanks for the outreach, congratulations on your academic achievements to date, and for taking the time to bring the scholarly abilities you are being taught (and I think, if memory serves, your applying them to edit BIO/BLP articles on women). We cheer all of this, and wish you fair winds and following seas in your academic work.
Finally with regard to the specific questions you ask, or what one might infer from them:
First, to be clear, we are not sock puppets or involved in sock puppet-types of behavior (in part because we decline, entirely, to engage in time-consuming content or other disagreements here, which removes, we perceive, the single largest motivation for such illicit behavior); Second, we are, at least some, at a near 20-year marks of participation, but no longer register for a set of substantial, but personal reasons we do not discuss (except to say, we cannot ever see returning to registered editor status at the WP organisation as it now exists); and Third, we decline to discuss our pronouns, generally, but their use encompasses a number of personal needs/circumstances, the one of which relevant to the Admin postings today, are edits that we perform with media/informatics-interested parties looking-on, as we discuss and explain Wikipedia function, and in particular, its Pillars, and the crucial WP:VERIFY policy. You can see in the activity link posted at the Admin site you reference, the type of edits we do as we pursue our interests and commitments (none of which, to be clear, involve paid / WP:NPOV editing).
Does this orient you well enough, that we can discourse about content and such, in future? With kind regard, we are, [Signed, the same as we were in the earlier posts you reviewed.] ~2025-42222-78 (talk) 23:34, 12 January 2026 (UTC)

- It seems like you are trying to act like you are some sort of secret group pulling the strings from behind the scenes. The neckbeard cadence is a little odd as well (no offense, I'm just a bit thrown off by this whole thing).

Reference added to the infobox of Cratoraricrus?
[edit]I noticed you added a reference to the infobox of the article for the taxonomic authority. I don't usually see this in biology articles and per MOS:INFOBOXREF this would qualify as repeated (and cited) elsewhere
. Additionally, the reference you added is to a database while the body cites the primary source. I suppose there's probably no harm in leaving it, but it stands out as slightly conspicuous to me, given the aforementioned uncommonness of this (although this may be JDL talking). — Anonymous 05:27, 25 January 2026 (UTC)
- No worries! I can remove it. :) Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 16:19, 25 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. I fear I have a bad habit of being a little too overprotective of my articles, but I'm glad we were able to work this out so easily. — Anonymous 17:26, 25 January 2026 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Infinite Chess(Game)
[edit]A tag has been placed on Infinite Chess(Game) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I am not logged in at the moment.(FYI) ~2026-62711-8 (talk) 02:03, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi there! The article you created has been moved to Infinite Chess. However, the article appeared to cover the same material as the Infinite chess article, so it has been blanked and redirected to that article. If you think your article covered a different subject, please let me know. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 02:12, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
Victor Station
[edit]Dear Significa liberdade:
Per Wikipedia guidelines, I have a proposal and I am to start with you.
The Victor Station entry as it appears now with the multiple entries of “This section does not cite any sources,” etc., undermines the integrity of the content. As a result, how could any reader of that article not be confused by seeing both “This section does not cite any sources” and proper references at the bottom of the article? This does a disservice to the reader. Furthermore, how could this be a good look for Wikipedia – when a reader sees an article that has been properly referenced that also includes multiple “does not cite any sources” statements. It seems to go against the purpose of Wikipedia.
I do understand that what led to the above was an inaccurate interpretation of what edits are appropriate based on Wikipedia policy and guidelines. I apologize for not having done a better job sorting that out beforehand.
My proposal to eliminate the above noted, adverse impacts to readers and Wikipedia is to return the article back to its original stub prior to my edits. Would you allow me to do that?
Thank you for considering my request.

- Hi there, Asabuchman! You are absolutely free to remove unsourced content, though you should not remove the maintenance tags without adding sources. Per Wikipedia's verifiability policy, readers must be able to connect article content to reliable sources. Generally speaking, each paragraph of the article should include at least one source to indicate where information in that paragraph came from. Otherwise, it is unclear which information is verified through which source -- or whether any sources provided verify the information. I hope this makes sense. Please let me know if you have any questions. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 17:30, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- Ah, apologies! I just realized you are currently blocked from directly editing mainspace articles. I can absolutely remove the unreferenced sections. Please note that in the future, you can use the {{edit request}} feature on the article's talk page. :) Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 17:37, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you! I am so grateful we could agree on this next step. Also, thank you for the additional editing guidance. Wishing you the best in your literary career. Asabuchman (talk) 18:39, 29 January 2026 (UTC)

January–February 2026 NPP drive - Phase 2
[edit]Welcome to Phase 2 of the January–February 2026 NPP drive. During Phase 1, we reviewed 16,658 articles and 4,416 redirects, and there is currently a backlog of 16,475 articles and 23,782 redirects in the queue. Fantastic job! Completing 22,502 patrols in the first phase made a significant dent in the backlog. Let's keep our foot on the gas for Phase 2, and I hope we can achieve even more reviews than Phase 1. Best of luck!

DYK for Booming Ben
[edit]On 7 February 2026, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Booming Ben, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the death of the heath hen Booming Ben marked the first time that biologists observed the extinction of a species firsthand? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Booming Ben. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Booming Ben), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.

Hi! I saw that you rated the article Chlorurus frontalis as Start last year. Can you please reassess it, because I think it fulfills all the B class article criteria. Thank you! TrueMoriarty Talk | Contribs 15:12, 8 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, TrueMoriarty! At present, I do not think Chlorurus frontalis meets the B-class article criteria. Based on content, I believe it still qualifies as Start-class (maybe C-class). - No problem! I can see why the entire subject is heavily controversial and conspiracy-esque, but Wikipedia is not part of that conspiracy nor is it (as far as I'm aware) involved in anything related to the entire case. Reddit likes acting like they are sleuths solving some sort of case (see this case) but in reality it's just unfettered conspiracies, bots, and people who don't know what they are talking about.
