Some people say 16.30 and others say 14 min? No idea as things keep changing

I heard 16:30 which is basically a light jog or speed walking

If you're using a treadmill, set it for 6.5mph for 15 minutes and you will be ready.

14:25 if you don’t want to have to take it again at the end

Wait, so no more taking it twice even if you pass the first time? I heard it was both regardless.

The letter from the director that I have said they suspended the 14.25 and it’s only 16.30?

fierycali · 10/1/2025, 2:49:14 AM
That’s the old one though

To my understanding it’s 14:30, but when I was in the Navy if you were just doing the minimum you were in a bad position. There’s a 0% chance it will hurt you to exceed the minimum requirement and get it down to 12 mins.

It's still 14:25, have people from my office there now if you don't get it by day 4 the second test you get sent home

TheophalusRatliff · 10/1/2025, 3:15:41 AM

No-Confidence-6102 · 10/1/2025, 3:15:45 AM
Run time is 14:25 for the mile and a half have guys from my office there now you get two chances one on day 2 the initial if you don't make it then again on day four, if you don't make it then they've been sending people home

So a walk then?

You shouldn’t be that slow. Especially for a cop. Seriously. If you actually expect to catch anyone in a foot pursuit with your gear on you should be sub 11:00.

That is so strange. The letter I got was 16.30 and they suspended the 14.25

[–]
fierycali · 10/1/2025, 4:01:23 AM
Now I can do 15 min no problem even with this nasty cough but my running test will be this week!

How many push ups and sit ups?

fierycali · 10/1/2025, 4:30:58 AM
Is it the same for all ages?
[–]
Mundane-Half9620 · 10/1/2025, 5:03:41 AM
Is it on a track or treadmill
[–]
Justvisitingin2025 · 10/1/2025, 5:32:02 AM
6.5mph is no walk. 4mph is a fast walk, but you are definitely jogging at 6.5 mph. I do it every day at the gym for 20 minutes and mix in 1-minute-sprints at 9.5mph to help get my heart rate up. As others have mentioned, you should aim higher than the minimum and definitely not be the slowest. 6.5 mph will get you a passing time on the run, but 7-8 mph will get you a much better and more respectable time. Good luck to all of you.

I have been setting it at 6mph and cycling faster sprints. Still not making the time.
