Well, considering they had over 150,000 applicants to fill 10,000 new positions plus any positions needing to be filled from people retiring, there is no need to keep it open any longer. It’s already a shit show in HR is already extremely overwhelmed. The people that are going through the process of hiring right now are having so many problems because it wasn’t planned out correctly to accommodate this many people trying to go through the process. They have more than enough applicants to sift through right now before they worry about taking on more. You have so many problems with people getting sent the wrong information, getting duty locations changed after they already accepted a location, screw up with setting up Academy training, and the list goes on and on. They are so overwhelmed right now that they can’t adequately and effectively handle the amount of people that are being processed through and they can’t fix the issues that are coming up in a quick and effective manner. Most people if they even get their issues fixed or getting it done days before they’re supposed to EOD when they finally actually get someone on the phone. So at this point, there’s no need to keep that job announcement open anymore when they have more than enough people that are already being processed through and they have well over 150,000 people that have applied.
