I only had 3 locations to choose from lol I really wanted El Paso but oh well Pecos Tx it is. Question is, I EOD on October 5th. Is this where I’m reporting to? Pecos, TX or the main station here in El Paso? 😵‍💫 is anyone else going to Pecos 😎

You will more than likely report to the main office for the aor which is El Paso to finish processing with the MSS Team and do Neo.

Any info: I picked El Paso as my duty station. I finished my drug test today and already completed my fingerprints. I believe my drug test is my final step. Any info on next step?

You will report to your FO that you picked.

There’s two ways to find out if you get your selected FO. Your USA staffing will change the location from the AOR officer to the FO (typically before your FJO) and the EOD email.

I applied June 5th, TJO August 16, drug test on the August 25th and OJO September 2 with EOD Octubre 5th.

I applied June and got TJO on aug 16 submitted all paper aug 21 and got email 9/2 for fingerprints and sf86 submitted 8/4. Now I am waiting

Just accept it I just eod this Monday and I guess we were the last wave to get El Paso , I got otero but after 2 years you can choose different AOR

Yeah I did. Unfortunately I have my wife and daughter here. Pecos rent is HIGH AF. Idk if I’ll be able to make it with responsibilities in El Paso and Pecos. Crazy. We’ll see what happens.

That’s your duty location, El Paso extends to midland to Albuquerque.

Anyone knows if all GL-7 are permanent positions while the GL-9/over 40 are temporary? So that means there aren’t any permanent GL-9 positions? or if everyone under 40 starts at GL-7 ?

I went to the expo in Arlington, at that time, I was only waiting for my OJO. I’m still waiting for my final which would have my duty location. Which I’m hoping I can change before. I already Emailed ICE HR and the email with the offer. Hope something can be done. Imma have to make a decision about joining or not if it comes down to that.

We were in the same boat bro, I few of my co workers had gotten hired when they went to the expo in Arlington. One of my former co workers started on Monday & he had gotten El Paso too. Took him 13 days after the expo to get his OJO. I guess it’s different for everyone, but I had to get El Paso if not I was not going to join. No way I’m leaving to another field office across the country. Hope it all works out for you man pulling for you 👍🏻
