Okay so bascially there was an event on slopjak.party that took place durinh the Froot era, the "Frootniversary" it was named, one of the boards was named /anthro/, and even doe that board got rekt alongside the /bp/ board that appeared out of nowhere, we created this community anyway. There were also furry threads on the shardee's /g/ (general) board.

Lachlan used to be a moderator of the other site before he and some other users there are sick and tired of the goonslop and hmofaslop being constantly posted all of the time. Some people there, including myself, wanted to see anthros/furries go through redemption where degeneracy and porn culture is cleaned off and hoping that it would be the website for it. Unfortunately, the owner of that site disagrees with that mission and just wants a website to be a hugbox where they constantly post their "furwaifus" or "waifurs" yet also want to keep it "SFW" for some reason. So Lachlan ended up creating this website where it's focused on anthros but with a strict policy against goonerisms. Encouraging people to focus on the more creative aspects of anthropomorphic animals rather than just pornography and self-insert romanceslop

I think if I would have discovered the fooey first, then I would have been a bit dissatisfied with how it is run. 

I was previously constantly searching for a furry community where I could settle down and just enjoy the SFW side of things. I used ritter and reddit before and while I ultimately accepted, that there is always going to be goonstop involved, I was still left not feeling whole. Also, I overall think imageboards are much better as social medias.

while I would have sticked with the best that would be available, that is if only the fooey existed, I'm still sure that this site is the best place to be in. I'm always going to stick to this site.

My only complaints are, that Lachlan is influencing his political views on the moderation itself and has sometimes threatend to ban according to Stereotypes rather than rationality (like banning christianity and committing straw man or ad hominem fallacy).

Here's some stuff from early on that I haven't seen reposted since. It was a very pleasant surprise to see it work out so well the first time around (and people didn't get vocally fed up with the hmofatroons until /bp/.) My file for the video is dated from August 6th, 2024.
I did nothing to this but re-encode it with default Blender settings because the original at the exact same resolution was 58.1 MB and our limit is 20MB. MP4 is more fucky to get working with everything than you think so it might not work for some people
You could probably see some familiar faces on the 'log. Also some coal we should be thankful is gone. Surprisingly it wasn't that different and there's a large overlap of users from then and now

No. Nobody was. Jannies were often absent in responding to reports against cattywipers and gave extremely light punishments if at all. (and 9a0c even posted goonslop and refused to delete it)
Lach was the OP of most of the hangouts and the gimmick of /bp/ was that OP could delete posts within threads so there was some degree of moderation within them. He left for basically the entirety of January 2025 being disillusioned after we had just won the board and that period was a pretty bitter fight against unhinged spammers.

The deletion of /bp/ was a good thing I think. We wouldn't be here if it weren't for that.
