I'm so hyped. Looks like a good, functional layout with some fun creative stuff in there. Love the Game Show jump/crossover ramp, Jack's love for Dan Langlois always shines through. Happy to see what appears to be an inlane diverter on the left ramp return too, hopefully that means the toilet bowl is only used when appropriate (maybe while waiting for pokeballs to lock?). The series of captive balls cracking into each other is awesome, so is the bit of the exposed pop bumper to the left of Meowth. Great looking game, really excited for the full reveal + the chance to shoot it soon.
Best part about Stern games, everybody actually gets to play them!
If it's real then I'm actually kinda surprised by how much they just stuck with Gen 1 Pokemon. Like this looks exactly like something that would have come out around the time of the first Pokemon movie. I'm thrilled since I grew up with that era of Pokemon but I kinda would have thought that Nintendo/Gamefreak would have wanted them to go with a style more akin to the current anime.
I was really hoping to be blown away by this considering the last several Stern releases.... looking at the playfield currently, I feel like it looks basic. I was hoping it would be more about the gym leader battles and even the Elite Four.
Still don't have a lot of information but I hope it's amazing
Same. I'm not completely giving up hope that it's going to be a great game, but the rules are going to have to be very deep, on theme, and utilize Insider Connected really well like DnD to get me interested. There are too many unique things about pokemon as an IP to not utilize them.
While we’re here I want to denounce Betson as a distributor.
To be more clear, DO NOT BUY “PRE-ORDERS” from Betson.
Back in summer of 2023 I put a $2500 down payment on a Godzilla premium, with a promise date of spring 2024. After given the run around from March - June, I was eventually refunded my $2500 down payment in August 2024 because they “had not received as many Godzillas as they anticipated”.
Godzilla of course was a hot title, and I understand the situation, but let’s talk facts as a consumer.
$2,500 hold is a large amount for an uncertain delivery. This was not communicated up front. Upon being told bad news, I was told my deposit would be good towards other titles like TMNT Pro which was in stock at the moment. In an attempt to bargain down from their $7,000 NIB Delivery price towards the TMNT pro (wildly overpriced) I then demanded and received a refund.
This down payment was done with a credit card, which had accrued rewards at the time of down payment. Given the nature of the refund being 1 calendar year later, my rewards balance was then docked from that purchase, putting me into NEGATIVE rewards (again, my choice but damn that sucked).
This could’ve been avoided a number of ways, but don’t let Betson oversell you on your coveted Pokémon machine. Ask about their firm allotment, and only purchase if you’re within said guarantees. You might end up with a DnD Pro if you’re not careful
I'd literally never heard of Betson before this leak. There was zero chance I'd start using a non-pinball-centric distributor at this point anyway, so it's moot.
Still, someone at Stern's gotta be furious right now.
If legit, this design won't help Stern's reputation in the short term. (Pretty sure most people are going to look back at Stern from 2024-present and say, "Wait, why was I down on these games?") In the long term, this game looking like a licensed Pokemon product and shooting like a "Pinball 101" class will likely be remembered as a smart move. Hope a lot of kids have memories of playing this with their parents/grandparents.
And if Transformers and Fallout are next, I can see less safe and more innovative games ahead. Stern still needs to figure out how to make their games not look like the Home versions to every other companies' Pros and Premiums.
Also, the right ramp looks very "Party at the Bing", which is no bad thing. Except replace the strippers with Pikachu. Or mix and match those options. Just don't tell me about it.
Looks real. Simple layout but that’s what we heard was coming. I’m still amped. Gotta catch em all!
It looks like legit ad copy from a distributor. If confirmed, the question is whether it's an "authorized" leak or not.

Reminds me of attack from mars layout.
If real, big W for sticking with the Gen 1 pokemon (I'm looking at you, Toy Story 4 pinball)
I had the same concern. I think with Toy Story Disney made them go with the newest film. It seems like The Pokemon Company is a little more lenient.
there are gonna be so many custom translites for this machine
But the real question is, which one is going to be the very best, like no one ever was.
Each ramp being a different type makes total sense. You’re facing a water type, you hit the electric ramp, etc.
Only the 151? I like that part for sure

I would rather they based it on the games than the anime
It really does look like it was … made when Pokemon Pinball came out in 99. It just seems so… ordinary?
Stern is in the nostalgia market.
That said, I think Bidoof is hiding in the pops.

Playfield looks pretty legit. Not a huge fan of the translate art. Eager for an official announcement.
If it's a fake, it's the best fake so far.
I don't care for Pokémon but I was really addicted to Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire back in the day.
It just being the original 150 is simultaneously sick and disappointing, as someone who was a day one Game Boy player.
Field looks a bit vanilla but man I’m beyond hyped!
Is that a poke bowl above the left flipper?
left overs from Star Wars

I can't share much, but I am headed to Stern tomorrow for an insider event for a new launch... Hint hint, it's for this game...
If I don't have to sign an NDA I can share pics if possible.
hmmm if this is real then I’m definitely less interested. something about the artwork being screenshots of the old anime isn’t very exciting.
Meowth eat ball? 😆
Pokeball eats ball?
It feels weird to me that meowth would be in the center of the playfield and the central mech, instead of pikachu… but otherwise it looks pretty fun
Pikachu is my friend, I don’t want to hurt Pikachu!
I'm imagining to combat Team Rocket antics
Team rocket balloon I think
Hope they build a shit ton. Used pros at 5k please and thx.
Any chance this is the homepin version?!
