Mathematics (or Math for short, or if you are British, Maths) is best known for being the study of whether things are true or false. It is extremely important in science. Math starts from logic; you can find out yourself how it works but it's similar to saying

or something. Math education generally involves climbing your way up through arithmetic, (high school) algebra, and then choosing from geometry, calculus, linear algebra, real/complex analysis, number theory, differential geometry and topology, set theory, and other gemmy things I'm forgetting.
