I’m going to start out by just stating outright that I was a volunteer worker of Jules Hydes. Now, that’s not necessarily what I believe, but since Jules likes to pretend being unpaid is my one and only “gripe” with him, I’ll strike it from the records and focus on what really matters.

In early 2023, I worked on a soundtrack for a then friend’s student film. That’s three years ago. I alleged that I didn’t know I was working for free until partway through the production, Jules disputes this, and unfortunately it’s a he said she said situation.

I thought I was getting paid because the contract I got described me as a contractor, he says I knew I was doing it for free because I said I wanted to work on it, whatever. Friends do free work for friends, I guess.

Anyways, the film was completed later that year, made it into multiple festivals throughout 2024, and was set to release in 2025. It is instead being released in 2026, with music by someone else. What happened?

Well, In 2025 I became the subject of a rapidly growing reactionary online hate movement. That's what I'm going to call it, if that makes you uncomfortable then get out of my audience before you hurt someone.

“Transandrophobia” was coined in reaction to transfeminism by tboys arriving 15 years too late to reddit atheist men’s rights activism. I will not be explaining more, they do not deserve grace.

I became a target of this hate movement for my growing apprehension at being scrutinized and needled by tumblr transmascs, persistently policing any notion of transfeminism or the idea that they possess *any* male privilege whatsoever.

This included my friend, the film director, who repeatedly took it to dms to interrogate me over takes such as “nonbinary transfems have more pressure to conform to a binary than nonbinary transmascs.” He later testified that he was treating me with kid gloves.

The harassment really kicked into high gear when I finally said that I was feeling vaguely threatened by transmascs in response to an anon ask.

My tumblr account is gone, so I can't show the worst of it, but the abuse included descriptions of murder and torture, sealioning questions about whether I'd feel the same about *black* men, straight up being told “if you really felt threatened you'd shut the fuck up.”

"Despite doing a bunch of free labour for me she didn't give me free money despite buying a fancy drink that 1 time" It never ceases to baffle me how people can take this stuff seriously. Any excuse to join the pile on I suppose. It's a shame you have to deal with such fetid nonsense.

im beginning to realize that the whole kf/cyberstalker club have just been acting like lolcows themselves. totally delusional behavior to get free labor out of somebody then beg them for marketing money?????? the fuck is that??? what??? and people just take his side????? huhhhhh???

To me the short film feels so hypocritical and hollow if seen in the context of how he treated you.
