Everytime I've downloaded a new gacha game I received their ads. Pretty pointless as I'm already playing but then I realized that these ads are for retention. Their problem isn't about gaining new players but keeping the ones that already downloaded it. In a sea of new gacha games gaining new players after release is just too difficult. They want fidelity among this short-term attention world and also transfom tourists into core players. It's a different stategy as we don't see numbers.
If they didn't work, companies wouldn't pay to have them made
