The Chroma is the overarching antagonist in the 2021 roleplay RPG game, Blue Archive. A cosmic entity that is still largely unexplored, exposure to color reverses its nature, and there is no way to reverse it.
One of the abilities of halos is the ability to reverse the nature of those exposed to them. This includes normal humans and AIs without Halo. If a person has already been exposed to the color, reversing it is as impossible as bringing a dead person back to life.
Action and Characteristics[]
- While nothing has been revealed about its characteristics, The Chroma has been confirmed to be an intelligent being and is a cosmic scourge that has existed since ancient times, affecting Kivotos in countless multiverses and causing many catastrophes since the beginning of time. As such, The Chroma is the most powerful and dangerous entity within the Blue Archive universe.
- When Beatrice performed a ritual in the Arius Basilica to contact the prophesied Iridescence in order to be elevated to a higher plane of existence, and her observation of the Color caused her to become an observer of the Color as well, even giving her the coordinates to Kivotos out of hatred for Sensei, who had reduced her to a mere MacGuffin, not even an Archon, let alone a God of the New World, The Color led his members to destroy Kivotos in the Main Universe.
- The Chroma corrupts and manipulates Bad Future's Shiroko, causing Bad Future Shiroko to mass genocide and omnicide, and even nearly causing Bad Future Shiroko to enact mass omnicide.
