The Ackmutt is an old subvariant, originating on May of 2022 around the same time as the Impish Amerimutt, while the latter was much more popular for the use of 'mutt memes. It would really only become prominent around 2023 as a proper template instead of a one off edit, coinciding with the era where Mutt wars became more prevalent around the Soysphere.
