Long before the Ralphamale first hollah'd there walked tyrants
Ladies and Gentlemen (no tr00ns though, Tumblr didn't exist in the Cretaceous period), there is a certain appeal that dinosaurs have to people on the spectrum. And objectively if you don't like them then you are gay.

Saar or ma'dam, what are your favorite dinosaurs and do you lament the days long since gone when dinosaurs didn't have feathers and looked cool?

I'm a bit of a basic bitch and I like my Carnosaurs most of all. Smaller carnivores are also very aesthetically pleasing about a big motherfucker. Big jaws. Grabby hands. God's greatest work.

Your turn to share.:slayer:

PS - Prehistoric non-dinosaurs are also fine (you will be judged if you post large sloths though).

Archaeopteryx is really just a bird but it still has one of the most beautiful fossils.IMG_2937.jpegIMG_2936.jpeg

And Liopleurodon, because of that episode from Walking With Dinosaurs (which I just realised aired more than 20 years ago…)

Since you guys have already started to talk about non dinosaurs like marine reptiles I will take it upon myself to drop the Proterozoic pill

Gaze your eyes upon the apex of creation

Bones and bilateral symmetry are for pussies, true Ediacaranmaxxing chads know stationary filter feeders are objectively the most based forms of life.

Favorite dinosaur would have to be Brachiosaurus. While all the sauropods, or 'long necks,' are majestic and awe-inspiring, Brachiosaurus is my favorite since it was in most of the dinosaur shows/movies I watched as a child.

"Pterosaurs, plesiosaurs, and synapsid aren't dinosaurs... but pigeons and penguins totally are!"

This is why nobody trusts scientists anymore

Since we aren't talking about just dinosaurs I gotta get this off my chest....he deserved better bros.....
But in all seriousness I love these thick-headed dumbasses. You cannot convince me they aren't the coolest shit.

Oh hell yeah. Love dinosaurs. Used to be my passion as a kid. A couple of my favorites:

Allosaurus: A pack hunter that brings down Sauropods. Even more so now that the 'Axe Bite' theory has largely been realized to be unlikely.

Diabloceratops: One I grew fond of thanks to video games. Especially the Isle where they're pugnacious little bastards.

The hapless dinosaur being nabbed by the giant sea beast was a very memorable moment, a shame it wasn't actually so big in reality -

Although the Pliosaurus mentioned is still a huge bastard -

(Thanks "Harry the fox" on Deviant Art lol)

If only someone could figure out what the Spinosaurus was like, maybe it would of helped if the skeletal remains weren't blown up and blown the fuck out like this guy -

Finding out that Spinosaurus is a truly titanic amount of guesswork has been both comical and infuriating. Turns out actually nobody knows dick about it. All the potential 'what ifs' are neat at the least.

I was born in 1984. When I was a kid in the early to mid 90's we didn't have Pokemon. We had dinosaurs. We didn't have some made up Japanese creatures with weird names. We had half reptile half birds with Latin themed names to try and pronounce. I still like dinosaurs though I don't get into them as much as I did when I was a kid. They are definitely interesting. Especially the idea that they are pretty much the missing link between birds and reptiles though they aren't missing. It's kind of hard to think of a chicken and something like a Tyrannosaurus being related at all. But that's what we have now.

I had a bunch of books about dinosaurs as a kid in the late 80's and early 90's. My parents would buy them for me when we went to Toys R Us. I was probably one of the few kids who would go to the book shelf in a toy store. I also had a bunch of dinosaur toys. When Jurassic Park came out I definitely had a bunch of the toys from that. Back then it wasn't odd to see an older kid about 8-10 years old still playing with toys. It's not like it is now where kids play with tech devices and have 3D video games.

Dinosaurs are big scary and can be pretty destructive. What isn't there for kids to like? The only thing I don't like about what goes on these days is this trend to try and make dinosaurs seem cute. It started around the time they started talking about how they had feathers. If you want to see some autism fueled obsession just look at the dinosaurs had feathers people. Every singe dinosaur had to have feathers because they found a few in China that had feathers. I remember seeing pictures of Triceratops and shit like that with feathers. Though there is no proof they had feathers. There is no proof the T-Rex had feathers either and it most likely didn't. But people still insist on making it look like a chicken.

I'm not a fan of feathered dinosaurs. I know some of them did have feathers. But I like to think of them the way I saw them in books and media as a kid. The featherless half bird half reptile killing machines.

I also got to give a shout-out to Dimetrodon. Not a dinosaur or even a reptile for that matter, but still a staple in dinosaur media and toys. It's not as 'impressive' as the big theropods that came after it, but it's still a very cool and menacing animal in its own right.
