I swear to god I am going to scream if I see one more post unironically sharing screenshots of the proprietor of Kiwi Farms slagging on Epstein & Musk.
Epstein & Musk are horrible; that doesn't make Josh a good guy. Also, as he's admitted the screenshot is FAKE. He spread disinfo & got 100k likes.

You don't need to spread the worst of Xitter over here, just because it reinforces a narrative that matches your beliefs. Uncritically amplifying a man who torments trans people for fun is not something we need to do!
There's plenty of other good analysis of the Files over here. Post that instead.
lol imagine getting 10M views on outright fucking disinfo.
this is the thing I'm subskeeting btw bsky.app/profile/cdro...
Seen a bunch of people sharing a tweet with a fake Musk/Epstein email. There's enough actual Musk stuff in there without sharing faked emails. www.yahoo.com/news/article...
and they don't even look to see who they're reskeeting, let alone screenshotting to cross-post!
Yup!
The idea that "this is a screenshot of a tweet, therefore it must be true" is still an attitude so many people *on other sites* have honestly boggles the mind
I mean if it's a reporter for a major national pub, I see the argument. "the KF guy" is not an authority in any way
Yeah, it seems to me like people aren't even paying attention to *who* the person in the tweet is. There was a solid decade worth of tweets by verified accounts being sources of newsworthy info I think people still just see "this is a screenshot of a tweet, maybe with a checkmark" and just believe.
oh RIGHT, yeah, Musk devalued the checkmark, making it harder to tell apart serious public figures (many, but not all of whom were journalists) from "person with $5 to pay for Premium"
(I try really really really hard here to be careful with my platform and sharing information even though my checkmark doesn't mean I have anything to do with newsgathering)
JFC i hadn't even clocked who had posted it.
Hits coming from all directions, smh.
