Call me naive but I think if I really put my mind to it, I can topple Singapore 60 years dictatorship. I know you regretted arresting me 10 years ago and all the negative national & international press you received from shining light on the human rights abusing hellhole Singapore for imprisoning a 16-year-old who just expressed his political opinions.

I interpreted his letter as a fear that if he’s deported back to SG, his life could be much worst.
That's exactly what this is. Fear. He is shitting himself because he is an adult now and the sentences are going to be very different if/when he gets charged again for doing the stupid and/or disgusting shit he is known to do.
More than 10 years had passed and he may have become an adult in that time (age-wise, anyway), but judging by the way he writes, it seemed like his maturity level had not progressed beyond that of a 17 year-old.
His letter smacks of false bravado often associated with teenagers (sorry to sully other teenagers here), and the impression that he thinks he has put forth the smartest argument for Singapore not to accept him back, calling bluff to their faces.
He's probably feeling smug and confident that he'll succeed too.

So after all that trouble to avoid NS, going to jail in America and Singapore, he will still have to serve his 2 years.

That was a weird read (just a quick skim through) but it actually made me want him back, mainly because you can tell just how much he is AFRAID and don’t want to come back. Back here in Singapore he will be treated like dirt, even worse than in US and he knows it. His extremely short time as a young, eloquent voice has passed. Just let him suffer, stay in jail forever, and become just another forgotten stain.

The SG Government is not stupid, as he'll still cause his mischief wherever in the world he is. So better to have him here where they can keep locking him up.
He's writing this because he's scared of going back to Singapore where the government has more tools available to them to curb his behaviour.
The Singapore Government will definitely issue his travel documents and will personally escort him back, straight into a holding cell, where he will likely go before a court for absconding from military service, and he will get the three years. After that they will still make him do NS, or explore other options.

When he was first arrested, he got some public sympathy and attention mainly because he was a 16 years old boy.
Now he is a 26 years old convicted pedophile. Not only will he not get any public sympathy when he is arrested again but many of people including his previous supporters will be cheering.
