    This book marked me in a way I was not expecting at all. This book describes perfectly the nuances of grief, adventure, courage, and somehow madness after something traumatic happens to a person.

    The constant sentiment of tension and unease make this an incredible book. The plot twists helped tremendously with this scenario. Still, the truth is that the main characters are very twisted, problematic, and untrustworthy, at least from my perspective, which creates a perfect harmony of mystery, fear, and confusion throughout the book.

    Overall I really loved this book and the only downside is the fact that I would love to get a deeper understanding of the overall trauma instead of the position the characters are in the present.

    Nevertheless, I really loved it.

    This book was quite interesting. Brings light on mental health and shows what some deal with behind closed doors. I kinda got lost on the story and was a bit confused but it was full of action.

    I just finished "Infliction Point" by Mark Hacker, and wow, what a ride! This Zach Axton thriller had me hooked from the first page.
    Hacker's background as a punch-up writer for major studios shines through in the dialogue. It's sharp, witty, and often darkly humorous, even in the most intense moments. The banter between Zach and his friend Leon had me chuckling despite the grim circumstances.
    What grabbed me was Zach himself. Here's a guy who's hit rock bottom, drowning his sorrows in beer by a dirty lake, yet you can't help but root for him. His struggle with grief and the way he slowly claws his way back into action felt real and relatable.
    The plot moves at breakneck speed, with enough twists to keep you guessing. The escaped prisoner with enhanced brain function is a great sci-fi touch that adds an extra layer of intrigue to the standard thriller formula.
    Some of the violence was a bit intense for my taste, but it fits the story and never feels gratuitous. And while the subject matter is dark, Hacker manages to inject enough humor to keep it from becoming overwhelming.
    One thing that impressed me was the level of research that went into this book. The details about FBI procedures and the science behind the brain enhancement program felt spot-on and added much authenticity to the story.
    If you're a fan of fast-paced thrillers with a dash of sci-fi and a troubled but likable protagonist, "Infliction Point" is worth picking up. I'm already looking forward to Zach Axton's next adventure!

    what can I say what a great read don't know if it's a standalone book or going be a series it ends like there could be more I'm hoping there is more great story fun characters and humour to go with it if it was going be a series and the books were half of the 500 pages this is it would still be a good series to read as there is plenty of story's like that out there and we know his background now so like story to tell there really hoping there's more I'll look out for others if not thanks for great story .
