Seed of Might is proud to finally release the finalized version of our Dragon Ball movie release, now fully color corrected, along with the first two OVAs (“Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans” and “Heya! Son Goku and His Friends Return”)

Video

We have performed a complete comprehensive color-correction for each movie, including shot-by-shot white balancing of every movie, global hue shifts, skin tone fixes, de-bleaching, and various other fixes. Please see this document for detailed information on our color-correction process. (Night Mode Version).

In addition, several video improvements were made over the original sources. For movies sourced from WEB-DLs, the dark details were merged from the AVC and HEVC versions of the films in a similar process to our DBZ DBOX merge. All movies also received some basic CDNR to remove artifacting caused by the compressed sources. As usual color adjustments also cause the size of the movies to expand as higher settings are necessary to retain the new details.

Audio

All JPBD, LD, VCD, and VHS tracks cleaned and normalized by Krycek7o2. QC provided by Krycek7o2, Ploffy, ZeroCool, CSManiac33, ergiman, VDenter, butler, KameZ, and AxF.

Notes:

1. After extensive testing over many years we determined that the JPBD offered the best presentation of the original Japanese audio. Each JP track was cleaned and balanced by Team-Mirolo and Krycek7o2.
2. For this release we decided to sync every single English dub available for every movie. A brief write-up explaining each audio track and which tracks are with which movie is available here.
3. All JPN EDs on the FUNi Remastered Kikuchi tracks were replaced with higher quality EDs by Krycek7o2. All insert songs removed from FUNi Remastered Kikuchi tracks were re-added by Deli. OP/ED extensions for various dubbed OP/EDs were done by iKaos.

Subtitles

All subs except dubtitles originally OCRed by Krycek7o2. Z Dubtitles OCRed by iKaos. DB Dubtitles transcribed by WTK. All OP and ED credits timed and styled by Ploffy. Names and romanization contributions from AnimeAjay, dubudavid, corre, WPR, Johnster, Herms, and SaiyaJedi. Titles and credits re-colored by butler and LukZ.

Notes:

1. Stylized subs are designed to mimic the look of the original Japanese text for all signs and onscreen text.
2. The signs/songs track is meant for use with the FUNi English dubs.
3. If you don’t care for stylized subs, then we have included a basic subs track as well.
4. Dubtitles are mostly based on the OG FUNi dub, although Z M1-3 are based on the Pioneer dubs.
5. JP subs are included. DB movie subs were obtained from Netflix.
6. As always we recommend MPV for proper subtitle playback. If you insist on using MPC-HC please use the VSFilter sub renderer.

Extras

Japanese extras are sourced from the JPBDs. Subtitles for most JP extras were originally done by Pendekar, except for the DVD Promos which were done from scratch by WPR, dubadavid, and SonicMaster2022. English extras are sourced from official DVDs, VHS rips, and YouTube. Note that NONE of the extras are color-corrected.
