My profile says I have 2k followers, but I feel like 99% of them went back to twitter and my real number is closer to 20.
I have a mutual who also has ~2k but I always immediately notice if he reposts me because his followers are actually active.

I try not to obsess over engagement and metrics and stuff, but the following I built up with my holo games is the one thing that made me think I might be able to succeed as an indie dev. Now I don't even have that anymore. I'm basically starting over from scratch.
One Million Buttons has about 100 wishlists last I checked. A friend told me I'm supposed to be getting at least that every week. I guess that's part of why I haven't really worked on it since October. Seems destined to fail if I can't generate interest, and I'm not sure what more I can do for that.
Feels like my only hope of success is that a big creator mutual decides to stream something I make, but I know from experience that's not something you can rely on, not even if they've told you directly that they plan on doing so.
Hey. This may be random but I just wanted to say that I think you're stuff is cool. I'm sorry if age of advent didn't do that well and that's why you hate holoindie but I understand your frustration. Sometimes life is just like that.
And I also understand the frustration of none of the girls playing if that is something that upsets you. Because yeah having that happen but then seeing a fair few streams on Holo vs Robo I can totally get why that is frustrating.
I was one of the people who case closed all of Smol Ame back in the day and that was because the game YOU made was extremely fun.
I do hope people will come back to Bluesky... I deactivated my Twitter account today because it doesn't feel right using a platform that is actively encouraging such disgusting behavior and content.
