Help Dennis Fight Cancer's Return

Story

Hello: My name Is Dennis , though in the Furry Community some of you may know me as an Orca named Naketa Orcan. I just turned 65 and was not sure if I would make it this far. It all started last October with a groin surgery, then Sepsis, then another lump , Blood clot issues , wound care. Finally after all of that in late January I got to return to work having exhausted our savings to survive. Everything seemed fine, I was developing a growing back and side aches but at my age I just wrote it off until one day in April. The pain became unbearable and I went to the hospital yet again , thinking muscles or my hernia was torn. The CT scan revealed, and I will NEVER forget this moment, the ER Doctor came in my room and she looked very upset. She broke the news , it was not anything I had done...my Cancer was back and spreading. The scary part is that when I was in the hospital last year the CT scan showed clear , this Cancer had gone wild in just a few months. I was referred to a very good Oncologist and team they have been wonderful and during the month of April /May I underwent 10 days of radiation to get the pain under control as the Cancer had infected my Lymph Nodes causing the pain and I lost over 40 lbs in weight. Starting In late May I now undergo Chemotherapy every 2 weeks and they send home a self administering medicine via IV that worls for two days then I go back and it is removed. The side effects, sometimes I feel worse from the treatments which have to continue through at least December. I pride myself on having worked hard my entire life, I did not expect to have my "golden" years spent in a hospital. I Do not like asking for help but I am in a bad situation. Our savings were all ready depleted before the Cancer diagnosis and now I am getting new bills for treatments and MRI scans and analysis way above and beyond what our insurance will cover. Anything that you can give, even the littlest bit, will help keep us afloat and help me continue to pay for the Cancer therapy I need.

Hi:
Well Further Confusion is in the books now and I admit that it was FUN, tiring I could not do the parade at all , nor a few panels but met some old friends, had time out of the damn bed and doing my walking and exercises at the con in my pony partial! There were so many supportive and kind souls helping me get around even in my wheel chair or using my cane to walk with help.
Today we got to see Dr Powers again and I resumed my Chemotherapy and I feel so tired and down it knocks me out hard. I go back in on Friday to remove this pump and get the autoimmune injector for the weekend, that is the one that REALLY knocks me out takes away my energy badly but keeps me alive !
Found out that they are pretty sure I am still covered even though the cancer is preexisting the new insurance company cannot drop me, just reset the deductibles on my treatments and medications for the year. .I am to continue with my Chemo for the foreseeable
future..ugh and need to get this PET Scan done so the Dr can see the activity..is my Cancer growing or in remission or just hanging out?
I cannot begin to thank everyone so much for all the help , both financial and emotional support , without which I would have given up months ago.
John..(Calafin) ..there are no mere words I can express for you to hear , my husband, for all that I am putting you through I love you so much! These same sentiments go out to my housemates here ..Tikke the Kobold, Takumori the Dragon, Gesten the Tiger ..I know I rely on all of you so very much Thank you seems so shallow but those are the mere words .
This goes for everyone as i have said so many times..Thank you All!

Be Kind and take care of each other ok? Attaching 3 photos !
