The Soypocalypse, or Soymaggedon was an event which began on the 14/15 August, 2023 and ended on the 22nd. It begun after soyjak.party and jakparty.soy closed their doors to normal posters, thus initiating the brief Splintered Age. Sites like the Soyjak Bunker and the shiny were created during this brief and chaotic time. After a very brief return on the 20th, the Sharty came back for real on the 22nd, thus ending the Soypocalypse.

How it happened[edit | edit source]

  • Red, a Kuz-era mod, former manager of the Party, and a commiepedotroon nigger, goes rogue and releases a "leak" which included IPs from the 'Party and staff, blanket rangebanning the entire 'Party and vandalizing the Soyjak Wiki, all to advertise a 'cord where xe released said leaks;
  • Red was immediately fired from the Party staff and then from the Wiki, following an incredibly long and Looney Tunes-esque banfight between xem, DOLL and another 'ki moderator.[1]
  • Doll posts that the Party is for sale, and it is unknown if a new buyer will be considered or if Mr. E will still go through with it.
  • Apathy sets in with the mods and jannies, mass NAScoal spam occurs and allegedly a CSAM raid occurs.
  • The Party is taken offline later in the night (later stated to be because of the bill being due and so Doll could dox the staff, as stated by Doll in September)
  • The booru goes down. Admins get locked out of the server, and lolkek takes down all the images except for a /bant/ tranny image
  • Due to the massive influx of users and the "lack of moderation manpower" (mass 'p spam), jakparty.soy is brought offline.[2]
  • Now without a home, soyteens fragment onto niche splinter sites hosted by various namecucks.
    • Some teens return to 4cuck for an uprising, demanding /soy/ or the reopening of /qa/ through the flooding of all boards
    • Many teens flock to bunker.soyjak.wiki, a splinter hosted by Angeleno.
    • The 8chan bunker, [8che]/soy/ remains unscathed by the events. However, since 8chan was taken off the clear net, phoneposters can’t access it (possibly gemmy).
  • Max offers to buy the Sharty for a lower price, with shitty ideas that will ruin the Sharty even if he bought it (even doe he was Dr. E when he brought the Sharty an additional 20% cash), Doll declines (at least twice, maybe more).
    • Doll is a sellout him?
  • When the nu-sharty opens, some ‘teens go there
  • soyjak.party shows a message by Doll, announcing that he will not continue keeping the site online.
  • The jarty announces they will return on August 16th, with increased measures against 'p spam.
  • The Sharty returns briefly with a new, mysterious admin dubbed Chood (who turned out to actually be Dr. E later on), but immediately goes down again.
  • The Sharty returns again on the 22th of August, this time permanently. Froot bought the site for $20,000, therefore saving it. The Soyumvirate ruled for now, with Froot set to take over and become admin, marking the end of the Soypocalpse.

Doll just ran out of money (probably due to (((Max))) extorting him earlier) and it was a coincidence that the Red leak happened on the same day. Kuz for some reason didn't want the site to stay up and made Doll write this letter. Doll's original plan was to get the site back up once he had more money, which eventually happened. Doll could not take it anymore. He had a full-time job, a family, and chores. He wasn’t going to spend his life and his money on this unstable meme-site. It was simply a fallibility, a legal, financial, mental burden.

Max made a thread on /soy/ announcing the creation of his new site. Devyach.net/Party, or “Party2@9channel” was met with extreme criticism. Maximov evidently was playing around with his new site’s UI —— trying to make it more similar to Vichan, as the site looked ugly and had a strange format, even with upvotes, something which lead to a user remarking 

   IT’S FUCKING OVER!!!!

Maximov boasted in a separate thread: 

   This is what the new sharty should look like - a new look will revolutionize everything.

There was a sharp drop in posts per hour. The mood was somber and regretful. Many posts were simply confused - others expressed hatred for Doll and for Max - one comprised links to a new bunker site, owned by Angeleno: bunker.soyjak.wiki, as an alternative to the one owned by Maximov - another post was selling “souvenirs for the end of the Party”.

Othertimes the users were candid. They made confessions (or as the ESL post read, “last minute confessionals”), gave advice, and the general post quality had gone up. The severity was such that even those users who would regularly troll ceased.


There was discussion on the Wiki Bunker, quickly renamed to the Wibunck by users, about how soyjak.party will split into many different splinters. 

   THE PARTY IS GOING TO SPLIT OFF INTO FACTIONS AND WE WILL NEVER HAVE ONE BIG SITE AGAIN UNTILL /QA/ IS BACK

A soyteen replied: 

   This is just LIKE my hecking ancient China!

The Wibunck was quickly hit with a raid, where the raider spammed what appeared to be necrophilia images of a cadaver? or recently passed-away body being “probed”. Angeleno’s response was to ban any images over 4 bytes in size.

A now splinter-site called marge.city was shut down almost instantly when it was spammed with 'P.

A thread on the Wibunck was made by a user calling himself, in the classic fashion for admins of soy sites, where their names are monosyllabic (“Soot”, “Kuz”, “Lute”, “Doll”), “Pool”. The thread quickly attracted a lot of attention. It featured presumably a screenshot from his computer monitor of Pool setting up his site, with the text 

   Soyjak.space is happening

A post was made - the first gem on the Wibunck - reading

This was praised as a gem. The contrast between such a chaotic and hopeless atmosphere, where many posts included full-cap titles, and others were lamenting and feeling guilty about their previous hatred of certain users, this silly post whose text was read like a “sassy fat black mama” was nothing short of gemmish.

On that same day, Doll changed Soyjaks.Party to a single-paged site with a black background. The white text read 

  It’s over - for good this time.

  I am sad to say this, but the Party will be shutting down as of tonight. I was not able to raise enough money personally to keep the site online. This page is meant as a memorial for the fun times we all had on the site and all the memories we made along the way laughing at funny soyjaks and spreading our culture everywhere across the internet. If at some point in the future there is a person willing to purchase the site from me and pay the bills for the site, then I will restore the site and all of us can return to the home of ‘jakking. I love you all, and I really wish things could of been any other way. Thank (You) for being a true gem, and I pray that I will see you all again soon.

Back on the Wibunck, it seems soyteens had adapted to their conditions. Angeleno, though allowing images in times when he was online, disabled them as he slept, and so soyteens resorted to ASCII ‘jaks. Noahmusic returned, namefagging with his email since it was possible on the Wibunck, though had been disabled a long time ago on the Party. There was a rush to scrape all the images off the booru and to preserve them. The booru had been wiped - some say by the rogue admin Lolkek. A thread was made announcing the creation of soyjak.city, an archive of the ‘ru, albeit with posts saved only up to August 8th. There were many, however, who had despised the ‘ru, and were glad that it had finally been shut down. The booru, they said, sucked the soul out of ‘jakking, rendering soyfolders (private collections of soyjaks) unneeded, and thereby eliminating the fun in collecting as many soyjaks as possible, instead going over to the Booru, searching up whatever image was needed, and using that in the thread or in the soyduel.

Turkey Tom posted on Twitter: 

   i was considering buying the site for myself for kicks but then i realized it would probably ruin my life so im good brah.

A ‘teen echoed the following sentiment: 

   Im glad the Sharty is dead. I spent almost 2 years on this fucking site full of trannies and drama niggers. I’m finally free

Angeleno had a Q&A.

A “Donate” button was placed on the “It’s over - for real this time” page of soyjaks.party.

The Jarty releases an extensive, well-thought-out plan for things ahead, including an anti-CSAM system.

There were attempts to colonise a Russian imageboard, 2chan,’s /int/ board, at 2ch.hk.

In the span of about three days, the Wibunck had reached over 15K posts.

The Jarty was reopened. it had a “redemption arc”: its pph exceeded that of the Wibunck as users - though not all - migrated. The shiny was founded as another splinter. It reaches ~550 posts, and has its own banners, some of which are quite nice.

Sharty.party was founded, though with even fewer posts than the shiny: about 130 posts.

Some users went to Sidcity.

18th of August[edit | edit source]

Booru.soy is restored, originally with only Cobsons but this is fixed. YaroslavTV announces he is leaving the ‘Ru, Some spliters didn’t even bother to register domain names, namely soyjak.pythonanywhere.com, soyjak.serv00.net.

Angeleno announces that

Implying that the Wibunck will shut down soon.

On every single splinter, the post quality is high.

Sharty.Party’s /soy/ board has reached almost 3K posts.

The Wibunck almost reaches 20K posts.

Soyjak.pythonanywhere.com (‘ythonanywhere) reaches almost 4K posts. Its owner begins an auction with the starting price as $100, but ups that to $300 citing “increased activity”.

The tiny soyjak.site is founded, whose admin is named “J0e”.

19th of August[edit | edit source]

Doll’s telegram account is transferred to Angeleno, and renamed “soyjak.party updates”. Angeleno then announces 

  Several buyers for soyjak.party have been found. We will choose the one that is most interested in preserving the site and and able to pay the bills. It’s not over. It’s just getting started.

20th of August[edit | edit source]

The Jarty was raided with illegal material, and (I believe) a Jarty janny wiped the catalogue.

The shiny has a rapid PPH, and even if many posts are low quality, so were those on the Party.

Soyjaks.party is now a “404 Not Found / nginx” screen.

Anton Maximov makes an announcement on his splinter, saying that Doll has disappeared from the internet, making only cryptic posts, and that Kuz was the one who gave Doll the money to buy the site and keep it running. He says that Doll was lying

According to some Kiwifarms thread, as well as some soyteens, Red, who had leaked various sensitive informations on a specially-made Discord server, was also threatening to dox Doll’s wife, which may be why he left (blackmail). The leaks also revealed that Kuz was posting shota. ?? even though I don’t remember seeing shota being posted?

I never witnessed this firsthand but 

   ‘leno has a vendetta against the jarty, earlier someone associated with another splinter posted on here he was going to ddos the bunker and ‘leno posted on the wiki and doll’s telegram (he owns it now) that the jarty was ddosing him. the jarty was ddosed by someone in retaliation

SoyjakPartyVideoArchive updates the descriptions of all his videos to point to a link of the Jarty instead of the Party.

Celebratiom! Soyjaks.party makes a brief return! But it got spammed with P, images were hence disabled, and the site was shut down again… The shiny also shuts down (locks posts), seeing as the Sharty had returned.

A post is made on the Kiwifarms thread which reveals a Discord organisation named “GIH”, responsible for much of the P spam, as well as reveals the indentities of two of its ringleaders. The Kiwifarms poster also claims that muttposting on the Party - a style which first gained popularity on 4chan’s /int/ international board - was also pioneered by this group. 

   what the fuck the “kys obsessed fagoot” poster was right all along...

This was in reference to an American user who always replied such to any muttpost, and who also sometimes replied a longer version of this : “kill yourself you obsessed serbian faggot”. Muttposts were known to have usually been posted by a user called the Serbian, and, seeing as one of the GIH members who was doxed had a Serbian name, it’s almost certain that the muttposter’s identity is now known.

According to a thread on the Winbuck, which reads 

   WHAT’S HAPPENING TO THE ‘KI??? Some new account is replacing every page with pedo coal.

The Wiki is currently being raided, most likely by GIH in retaliation. I’m not checking though.

The shiny is reopened.

Angeleno, via his Soyjak.Party Updates telegram account, states 

   Today’s going to be a very frootful[4]day. I can feel it.

   The site will be back later tonight. Maybe around 6pm PDT

   Probably earlier though

   Also, “chood” (or Chud##Admin) will not be the admin

There is debate, however, on who the admin will be.

MIRACLE! SOYJAKS.PARTY REOPENS!! Doll states in a reply on the Party 

   To list things out fairly quickly, the site shut down to help control some of the drama, review the staff, and help give me some time to find a way to pay the bill that was due for the server. I got approached by several people to buy the site, and a few personal friends of mine gave rather large amounts of money so we may keep the site online. I was also approached several times by Max through different methods of his to “buy” the site from me for an incredibly low amount, and so I refused the offer several times. The investor I mentioned in the stream paid our bill this month, and made his intent clear that he wanted to become the next owner. And here we are tonight.

The Party quickly returns to normal. There are three admins: Doll, Angeleno, and a new one, called Froot. Together they are referred to as the Soyumvirate.

To let the internet know they’re back, the Party begins raiding. They first went on 4chan before returning to good old Twitch, and began raiding Jackbox, with multiple Jackbox raiding threads reaching 1000 posts. A snitch in the chats of the targeted streamers who first went by the name itil2004 (an obscure reference to Goth) then fuiciktsharty, the ‘P spammer, was identified by his voice to indeed by the Serbian, Nikola Uros.

For the first two days of having gained adminship, Froot posted frequently and in a style described as that of a 14-year-old Twitter user. He had a dramatic shift after those 48 hours, however, as he stopped posting almost altogether.

Sharty rapefugee threads like the /asb/ thread were the only soyjak bunker, aside from regular threads when, for a short period of time ‘teens congregated.[6]

2ch/int/ colony during Soypocalypse[edit | edit source]

On the shunker, a thread was posted, where 'teens deliberated on colonizing the /int/ board[7] of 2ch.hk, a Russian altchan. This effort was surprisingly successful. Although soyteen activity has declined since then, there are still a few 'jaks posted every once in a while[8][9], half a year after the original thread. It is possible that even some of the natives have adopted 'jak culture[10][11].
