+ There’s too much to say about this project to stuff it in a few notes. Short version: this is a recut of Nadia TV, formerly available exclusively on Laserdisc, now reconstructed frame by frame from the remastered Blu-ray version of the TV series.
+ As much TLC (the tender kind) AND TLC (the translation kind) were put into this release as was possible. Things that were mistranslated in the original R1 dvd release and have been untouched since have been fixed as they were discovered.
+ Watch it, enjoy it, it’s good. Great even. Now Nadia skips the island and Africa arcs for you!

@FishingForSwords Bit late but, considering Nautilus Story is at its core a recut of the show into 3 two-hour movies…I mean, yes it skips content from the original release. You can if you want think of it as an officially released fan-edit, because it contains no new footage, just the original material. Whether that makes it totally worthless or a worthwhile alternative to the series is up to the individual.

This is the superior way to watch Nadia. The edit was done by Anno himself, he cut out all the off-topic nonsense that the studio made behind his back (all the obnoxious island content with the irritating little girl for eg) and is more in line with his original vision for the series.
It’s so much better than the “full” tv series version it’s unreal, and actually boosts Nadia up there with the all time greats of the medium. You can really see how it went on to influence JRPG’s like Grandia, Lunar and Skies of Arcadia etc too.
