Do you mean Training? Achievements are disabled for that.

Achievements are disabled when SV_CheatsEnabled is set to true. That isn't the case with typical bot-matches; but some maps (TR_Walkway, for example) will have them turned on as part of their operation - AFAIK.

Just get the achievements legitimately - you'll have a lot more fun getting them genuinely, and none of the achievement milestones are crucial to playing a class.

I am not trying to cheat my way to them, but ones like pyromancer take a long time, and i play offline more than online because the people online are just better than I am.. [ unfair luck too ]

Do you mean Item Drops? Remember, Item Drops are not the same as Achievements.

There's a lot of bads in the game, stick to Valve servers and you should do ok.

^^^ Follow the advice in that guide and you should be beating off clueless noobs no problem.

And yeah, some achievements are tough, but that just makes getting them all the more satisfying.

Console commands:
sv_cheats 1
bot (as many as you want)
sv_cheats 0
retry

should work

After the first time playing Walkway I quickly got an achievement for the Sniper, but later the console told me cheats were enabled and I had done nothing differently.

achievements are disabled on single player for a very good reason.

They used to however I guess Valve patched it when so many people were cheating achievement in offline or when creating servers.
