Remember kids, Shueisha understood how important easy survive and pricing is and made MangaPlus,Kadokawa realized how bad their services for global is and is doing a Collab with ClobalComix to put all their stuff in there in subscription.
Naver and Kakao knows what the problem is and they know what the people want,they don't care they will have 50% of their stuff untranslated and always 20 chapters behind the ones that are translated.
Not only that Shueisha uses mangadex to link their stuff to the official links of new chapters.
And Kakao and Naver still act like they don't know,they know they just don't care so they need to protect some "imaginary profit" that doesn't exists from a service that is not real.
I think it's also about hard-line traditionalist non caring about pandering the outside market. Who cares if English is the global language, the chapters are made in their native one so that's their target market while translations are cheap, bad quality and way behind because they just don't care as long as their country is number one
But remember same people are pissed when Western games or movies come late to asia and doesnt have their language dub or sub for them,every game ever for example that doesnt come out in chinese/korean and japanese get review bombed for getting censored and not having their language.

Yeah it sucks. They also own Radish which is shutting down in December. Sucks because I have the entire Roxana novel unlocked but luckily someone gave me their google drive to continue reading it.
Is Tapas pricier? I heard the reason is to get rid of the competition between both apps and anything you bought on Radish won’t be able to be viewed once app ends so I seen a lot of people upset about the series they purchased and been looking at ways to download it to keep their purchases.

You deserve to be downvoted because this is a dumb take, piracy is service problem not a ppl problem. Tell me a site where you can get most popular mangas at a reasonable price and with good translations. It doesn't exist, piracy is just way better, if your product it's worse than the pirated one you are messing up and have to own it, not blame others for your failure.
They are doing the bare minimum and expect to be rewarded, there's a reason for why Netflix, Crunchyroll and steam reduced piracy, they were good products, now Crunchyroll and Netflix are worse so piracy is rising again while steam keeps doing well.
Also, calling others "kids" to try to ridicule them it's pretty childish
I do buy a lot of manga irl. I just don't wanna subscribe to millions of different apps. Many manga/manhwa doesn't have official eng translation either
