The outstanding result was achieved by Miranda Wilesmith, with fellow student Deliah Wu close behind with an ATAR of 97.60.
Deliah said she didn't get much sleep ahead of the Higher School Certificate (HSC) results being released on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
However, she had no reason to be nervous, with her results being higher than she had hoped for and including three band 6s.
While biology was her best subject, it was her performance in advanced English that impressed her the most.
It was a subject where she had once struggled.
"I definitely think that I put a lot of effort into getting my English advanced marks up," Deliah said.
"It was always something I struggled with coming into year 11, so it's really nice to see that has come through in this score I got."
With her impressive ATAR, she is sure to be undertaking a double degree in commerce and law at the University of Sydney in 2026.
"I can't do early entry or anything for the University of Sydney, it's all ATAR-based, but I'm applying through their regional and rural scheme, which is guaranteed entry for an ATAR of 95," she said.
She is still figuring out what her future will look like after university, but she thinks it will have something to do with corporate law.
Deliah credited her performance in the HSC to her teachers at SASC.
"I'd really like to thank all my teachers. I've gotten super close with some of them, and I think that they've also motivated me to put the effort in and really strive for success, and I'm really grateful," she said.
She also had the opportunity to catch up with some of her classmates on December 18 and said that most of them were happy with their results.
In addition to Miranda and Deliah's outstanding ATARs, the college highlighted several other students, including Kate Bartlett, who placed third in the state in the primary industries examination.
Rohan Lesh and Edward Neill were nominated for SHAPE and ENCORE respectively.
SHAPE presents a selection of outstanding major projects by HSC design and technology, industrial technology, and textiles and design students in NSW, while ENCORE is the performance and musicology equivalent.
Many of the SASC graduates will be heading off to university post-high school, with the college saying that 97 per cent of applicants received one or more early entry offers.
