I can't really offer much beyond "I don't think that's necessarily true" because its all just a broad speculation at the end of the day but that really just something that can help explain the cases where it doesn't work that well so it's fine. You could just acknowledge as such on their page if its known, it doesn't really hinder the effectiveness of detection on the chuubas with regular cycles.

Again, it's something that works on a case-by-basis. When it doesn't work, you'll need other means and that's fine. Doesn't mean you throw out the most common criteria immediately.
