ASX Austraclear Resumes Normal Settlement After Central Bank Fix

Photographer: Brendon Thorne/BloombergASX Ltd. said transactions processed through Austraclear — a platform for wholesale debt securities settlement — returned to normal after the Reserve Bank of Australia fixed its payment system.
The central bank had earlier said a temporary outage in RITS — a system that allows banks to settle their debt payment obligations in real-time — was needed to resolve the issue, according to an update on the ASX website.
