Soyjak Wiki talk:Gradingcaust
suggestion
would it be a gemmy idea if
1. only certain pages that have a history of useless nigger edit wars in them have quality indicator templates disabled, pages like the soyjak.party page or the soot page didn't have any problems
2. only keep useful quality indicator templates and delete the ones that are just a waste of space (e.g. ChaoticEquinox, YingYang, Vantaschrodinger, Vantagray)
3. make an option for users of the wiki to hide or unhide the quality indicators in pages, (don't know how this would be implemented doe) they could be hidden by default so nusois dont immediately jump to the conclusion that (thing) is gem/coal because the template said so
also if anyone actually, GENUINELY uses THIS wiki as an argument for their opinions, they are drooling retards and you should laugh at them.
I made an infobox conflict, if someone knows better about this snca war make it more accurate pls ChudtheVILE (talk) 19:15, 24 January 2026 (UTC)

- This whole gradingcaust thing has been really unpopular and caused a lot of drama, and I strongly advise you to reconsider what it's caused, versus what was gained. In my eyes any minimal gain is outweighed by its affects on the userbase and their contentions. It seems like you're going to double down and I won't contend very much, but I disagree with acting like a dictator, which is a line this might've crossed (or where your actions are heading), but I do not accuse you of that behavior. All I can say is, please don't take the criticism or any evil threats to heart, don't let them make you sad. Even if you were the worst admin, which is not my opinion, don't ever think that it makes you a bad person. If it ever causes you stress, just close the laptop and take a step away from it for as long as you need. God bless you. -SprokemowerMan ● Talk Page 03:28, 27 January 2026 (UTC)

- I understand, but I think it's too late to go back. I knew it would be controversial from the very start but I still want to see it through to the end now that I've started it. I'm not too worried at all what people say about me if that's what you mean; things will blow over eventually but I'll admit that I didn't expect 3 editors to try to start a "raid" on the wiki then try to use a google document as a discord chatroom. Mineral templates at the top of a page are NOT this serious, and I think removing them was a net positive; if I think something is good for the wiki, I'll just do it regardless of my "soysphere reputation," I don't really care about that at all. - I believe what most determines a wiki's quality is the general user's experience. If the majority of users have a complaint against the wiki, then that objectively means that the wiki has gotten "worse" for many people. It doesn't exactly matter if a few appreciate the change if the majority dislike it. Basically, the users make the wiki.
- I suppose it doesn't matter if anyone wants to raid the wiki or not due to the high security, but it does indicate that the Gradingcaust is very unpopular, especially if the raiding team is regular editors.
- However, I guess I tend to be a people pleaser and care too much about my reputation on here. If you don't care about people talking trash on bald man's website, then that's great. -SprokemowerMan ● Talk Page 03:53, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
- For some reason, this generation of editors is extremely attached to mineral qualities (which is part of why I removed them). I want to fix this problem and I think these 3 editors going so far as to plan to mass spam template code is an indication of the problem. The reason they thought this would work is because they misunderstood that if they did that and complained hard enough then I would fold and bring quality templates back because I would be scared of banning them. I had to let them know that this wasn't the case at all and that I wasn't going to change my mind. Also, I don't think regular editors being the raiders is unusual because only wiki editors would ever bother doing shit like this.

- I think it has long-term benefits (and short-term benefits, did you know that there are pages which stopped being edited after the Gradingcaust? this is because 100% of their activity was 2 or 3 editors stimming over whether the thing is a gem, iron, or coal, and the problem has totally vanished now) and I want you to trust me and wait. Basically, now that I started it, I'll finish it. Cobblestone (talk) 04:18, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
- Alright.
- I still think that it's unusual that 3 editors would basically make an agreement to raid the wiki and protest, indicating that the Gradingcaust is still very unpopular, but this is not important. On the other hand, maybe it'll be more popular someday.
- I acknowledge that there are less useless nigger war objectives on the wiki, and that's a benefit. Undoing this now is solely a popularity move.
- Hopefully, everyone gets over it. Godspeed. -SprokemowerMan ● Talk Page 05:51, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
