Advanced Credit Rules

To better support features with varying cost levels and enhance the flexibility of Monica's pricing plans, we've introduced advanced credits. These credits allow you to use Monica more extensively, maximizing your productivity.
Monthly Advanced Credits for Monica Subscription Plans
Advanced credits are exclusively available to subscribers. Without a Monica subscription, you won't be able to earn or use these credits. Subscribers receive a fixed amount of advanced credits monthly, in addition to the high-level queries included in their plan. These credits enable access to more advanced features and reset on the first day of each month.

Due to product upgrades, we have adjusted our pricing strategy. Max and Ultra plans include 1600 unrestricted advanced model queries per month and 12000 unrestricted Basic Queries per month. To ensure service quality, query frequency will be adjusted to 100 per day once this quota is depleted, preventing resource misuse. If you need additional quota for normal usage, please contact us. Although Monica provides supplementary query services, we also recommend that you do not overly rely on this service.

Enhanced Image Generation
We've updated our image generation counting method to better support various models. Instead of counting "image generation instances," we now use "advanced credit consumption." Different models require varying amounts of advanced credits per image. For example, generating one image with the SDXL model consumes 3 advanced credits. This change allows you to generate more images using your monthly advanced credits.
The table below shows the number of images each subscription plan can generate (assuming all advanced credits are used for image generation):

Chat Context Management
We understand that some users desire better control over chat context and more in-depth responses. With the introduction of advanced credits, we can now meet this need. Monica now offers two modes for context management: "Smart Trimming" and "Custom Limit". You can easily switch between these in the chat settings as needed.
Smart Trimming (Default)
In this mode, we intelligently trim context based on chat content to ensure you have a good chat experience most of the time. This mode consumes regular and advanced query counts depending on the selected model.
Custom Limit
This mode allows you to either retain the full context or set a manual trimming limit to control advanced credit usage. Available only to members, it consumes advanced credits per query. Important Notes:
- Monica's system prompts also count towards context length; disable unnecessary chat skills to reduce usage.
- Longer conversations use more context; start new chats periodically to manage consumption.
- Actual context capacity varies by model and is subject to technical limitations (For example, GPT-4o has a context limit of 128k).
Enhanced ChatPDF
The introduction of advanced credits has significantly improved ChatPDF functionality. We've launched a full-text reading mode, allowing the model to access complete original content during conversations without any trimming. This upgrade substantially enhances answer quality and accuracy. With full-text reading mode enabled, ChatPDF's chat context capability exceeds the 100k character limit. Please note that using this mode consumes advanced credits. Refer to the "Advanced Credit Consumption Table" below for detailed billing rules.
