Adventures in Lapland 🇫🇮🌲❄️🔥✨🐕🦌🌠👩🏼❤️💋👩🏻 This has to be one of the most special holidays I’ve been on, seeing the Northern Lights on our first night felt like a dream (and so lucky!), then snowmobiling, husky sledging, saunas and quite a bit of sleeping with only 4-5hrs daylight 🌝🌚 It was my first time in Finland, it’s such a unique place, being inside the Artic Circle in winter means it’s pretty cold and dark but very cosy and beautiful 🧊☺️ we stayed in some very picturesque places, and right next the slopes at @blissadventurer Lodge 😊 it was a memorable trip with so many new experiences 😀 We extended our trip by 2 nights to take in some snowboarding at Pyhä, we had a big dump of snow come down too 🌨️❄️ the only time we saw the sun was from the top of the mountain, you are riding in a state of perpetual sunset which makes for gorgeous lighting 😍 or in darkness as the pistes are lit up 🏂 I did lots off piste riding through trees and back country 🌲🌲🌲 spectacular and the best feeling with so few people on the mountain 🤙🏼 #pyhä #lapland #finland #adventure #northernlights
2025 recap 😮💨👋🏼🎤 In January we built a gym in 6 weeks for my girlfriend @intentionalfitnessbrighton - then we took walls down (more space!) in November 👩🏼🔧👩🏼🔧 helping her build her dream in 2025 was awesome, I’m incredibly proud of her and everything she’s created 🥹❤️ win of the year! I said goodbye to Lucky after 19 years, which broke my heart 🥺🐈⬛💜 but then Rocky came along in August, he’s adorable, also huge already 😳🥰 We bought a van 🚐 and did a lot of travelling and surfing, spent time in nature and exploring 😌 I love van life 🤙🏼 I held a tarantula, which scared me a lot and conquered a life long fear! 👏🏼💩✨ Facing fear = growth! I took care of Sam after bilateral bunion surgery, a tough experience for us both but she’s doing great now and we’ve grown stronger for it 🫶🏼 I didn’t have a race season (first world problems) and it’s been a huge challenge for my mental health in 2025 🙇🏼♀️ I’ve not had focus or structure in my life and I missed it. Badly 😭 I know that I need to be back racing in 2026, and I will, non negotiable ✊🏼🏁 I did try a senior Rotax for the first time ever though (epic!) and I did do the Zolder 24hr, although that was a kick in the teeth when the motor blew 3hrs in… 🤦🏼♀️ This year I built a lot of stuff, with my hands mainly and that reminded me of the simple pleasures and satisfaction I get from creating things 🙌🏼 reminder to self that I like making stuff 🤩 I did Beachy Head half marathon (in 1:46 and 46th) which gave me an important focus to train towards and encouraged me to embrace hip thrusting (120kg boom 💥) and this all helped me stay sane when all I wanted was to be in a race car 🏎️ Hand on heart, I’ve not always felt like myself this year, with all the LGBTQ+ pushback in the world I’ve found it tough going, at times I’ve been a bit of an emotional mess 😪 I also worked hard on simple things that make me happy (less social media) and I’ve built systems that will serve me in 2026. This year forced me to face some realities, adjust, let go and double down on what I need to do more / less of. So here’s to a New Year and good things to come!! 🥂✨😘 #NYE

Almost time to say goodbye to the M3 Competition Touring 🙆🏼♀️😢 really going to miss this car, the 4th one I’ve had (they’re THAT good!) from @bmwuk and possibly my favourite combo in Skyscraper Grey Metallic with Kyalami leather. Some people didn’t vibe with it (maybe 3, they’re wrong) but it really popped and made the interior feel special on any drive 🧡 shame it’s not an option on the new car, ahem 😏 Having the Campervan meant I didn’t do quite so many surf trips and adventures as the Isle of Man Green Touring (many trips to Cornwall & Snowdonia), but it came into its own this year building @intentionalfitnessbrighton for my gf👩🏼🔧 there’s not much you can’t fit inside it with the seats down! 🙌🏼 If I could only have one car, this would be it, probably in this exact spec too. Beachy Head Half Marathon was a beast, but such an amazing experience ✊🏼🤩 I finished 46th in 1:46.08 - target was top 50 and 1:45 so very happy with that! It was Baltic at 8am on Sunday (5 degrees) with a cold wind blowing too. Racing in hillclimb was wild 🤪 from 2015-2017 I raced in the French Hillclimb Championship (plus a few FIA European rounds) and it was an experience I’ll never forget 🥹💕🇫🇷 The first 2yrs I raced a Formula Renault out of a van (also Renault) 🚚⬅️🏎️👩🏼🔧 and I did literally everything solo. It was exhausting, scary at times, and the best adventure of my life so far. Constantly living outside your comfort zone forces you to embrace the unknown, to improve, innovate, believe in yourself and live for the moment 😄 Those experiences shaped me and everything that came next, it’s what made me realise racing was more than a hobby, it was a way of life. The 24hrs of Zolder was a tough one, so let’s start with the positives - Jumping into a new team, car and circuit for a 24 hour race was a challenge, especially with no testing, plus practice and qualy crammed into a single day. Despite not having been in a race car for 12 months, I got straight on the pace (inc night driving) and gelled with the car quickly ✅ HBR Motorsport and @arperformance.zolder were a joy to work with, I’m grateful for the welcome they gave me and all the moments we shared. Racing is so much more than just driving a car, it’s about teamwork and camaraderie, and these elements stood out for me at Zolder 🤝🏼 Our combined performance in the BMW M E90 M3 was right where it needed to be, the driver lineup worked perfectly and @robertvandenberg123 excelled in qualifying and super pole by putting us front of the grid in Super Sport ⏱️👏🏼 Spending time with one of my best friends and driving together meant a lot too, it was so good to see @sandravandersloot 💜 The atmosphere at Zolder was epic, signing autographs for fans, the grid walk, driver parade in town, seeing people I’ve not seen for a long time and making new friends too… I’ve really missed being at the track this year and Zolder reminded me how passionately I feel about motorsport - even when it’s not your weekend, that fire inside is always there! 🔥 I’m obviously devastated for the whole team after Saturday, retiring the car early into the race (mechanical failure) was crushing for us all 😓 unfortunately that’s motorsport sometimes, even when you all give your best and do everything right, fate can still deal you a dose of bad luck 🤦🏼♀️ You have to remind yourself it’s these lows that make the highs so incredible when it comes together ✊🏼 Big thanks to the whole team for the chance to race together, I hope we can do it all again sometime and get the result that everyone worked so hard for ✊🏼🙌🏼 #keeponkeepingon #becauseracecar #bmwm3 #circuitzolder #bmwmmotorsport #motorsport #enduranceracing #ngksparkplugs #bmwmmotorsport #teamwork #camaraderie #positivementalattitude #carsofinsta #carsovereverything #carsgasm #gocharlie

When someone asks what I do, and the next question is “do you race in F1?” 🤔🤦🏼♀️😂 Maybe it’s the popularity of Drive to Survive, or the fact that most other forms of motorsport don’t appear on television (it’s all on the internet folks!) and therefore a large proportion of people simply think F1 is motorsport… 🤷🏼♀️ For the record, I don’t race in F1 😅 to be honest, that has never been my goal. Anyhow, I didn’t start competing until I was 24, so that ship sailed a long time ago 🙋🏼♀️ 🛳️ Any other drivers out there ever have this experience?
