Apple, Google Confirm Multiyear Deal for AI Technology, Siri

Alphabet Inc.’s Google confirmed that it has entered a multiyear deal with Apple Inc. to power the iPhone maker’s artificial intelligence technology, including the Siri voice assistant.
“After careful evaluation, Apple determined that Google’s AI technology provides the most capable foundation for Apple Foundation Models and is excited about the innovative new experiences it will unlock for Apple users,” the two companies said Monday in a joint statement. Terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed.
