Unidentified persons suspected to be security operatives on Friday night raided and violently broke into the home of the leader of the Opposition National Unity Platform (NUP), Mr Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine.
Mr Kyagulanyi’s wife, Ms Barbra Itungo, alias Barbie, has since been admitted to St Francis Hospital Nsambya, where she was rushed at around 1 am on Saturday. It was not clear whether the attack was carried out with the knowledge of the police. The Force's spokesperson, Mr Kituuma Rusoke, had by press time not responded to our calls. Mr Joel Ssenyonyi, the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament (LoP), decried the attack, saying it confounded logic.
